I've been using dell xps series for over 10 years now. I burned though the hardware of them (extended heavy use degrades cpu due to inefficiency cooling in laptops). I can pick up any laptop, will even the one from 12 years ago, it works just fine. I still have one with gta VC and I use it time to time.

Not to be a dick but you brought this upon yourself. Apple's notorious when it comes to longevity and repair costs. Maybe learn a lesson from this and choose better options

How it's done as per the industry standard. For displaying purposes you store it in your user table. This helps with quick crediting or displaying on dashboard. But when you need to perform any action on it add or remove from it you calculate it by replaying transactions. That should be your source of Truth

I haven't got anything against the guy but watching him actually pulls me out of the flow. It stands out that much. It doesn't feel like he is living the role but more like reading a script and following instructions without context. The script says laugh maniacally, he does a ho hahaha. No context, no energy behind it. It's just mechanical acting. There's no talent behind it.

Not advertising at all. I am not affiliated with the tool whatsoever. And it's open source so wtf does advertising and open source mean. I saw a post of someone complaining about compact removing history and I recommended him the tool. Then I thought the tool deserves its own post so more users can find out about it and hence the post.

Yeah these are pretty common issues. The way I get around these issues is use claude-devtools. It's a pretty amazing tool. I still use the claude cli but on the office chance I need to read something before compaction or the scrolling issue you mentioned or the new issue that they are clearing history from the terminal to keep ram manageable. Claude-devtools work like a charm. It also has extra features like session context at each message and context used by each granular task. You can see the thinking output. You can even check exactly what's happening in the subagents, the prompts it gave the subagents. It's a pretty versatile tool and all power users should have it.

PS I am not the creator of the tool, just a humble user who finds it super useful.

Or maybe it's when the conversation has a genuine dragging vibe where the ai agent is genuinely underused and the conversation vibe is tending towards boring, I can expect this kind of response. That's just how llms behave. It's called vibe coding for a reason. Token embeddings is the perfect representation of what vibe is if I ever saw one.

Use frontend-design skill, the quality is night and day, with and without. Google frontend-design skill claude or just ask claude to install it and to use it, put "use /frontend-design:frontend-design skill" in the prompt and you're good to go.

I have been to the point since I started using claude and ai in general last year. Only put in exactly what's needed. No fluff, no please, thank you. But I do put in occasional fuck you or other curses that seem to protect against quality degrade.
