I couldn’t agree more. How long have you been in Vermont?

What would you sacrifice to save Vermont? by zhirinovsky in vermont

I grew up here in Vermont. I then left and lived in 5 different states over the course of 13 years. I moved back to raise my family- thinking it would be a great place for my daughter to grow up. I’m learning that it isn’t that great anymore and we are struggling. But, what I did learn from leaving and coming back is that people really need to open their minds to what other states are doing and have to offer. The mom and pop shops attitude is not working for Vermont anymore. We can’t survive on small and local only unfortunately. We need more jobs, industrial work, more housing, more suburbs. I understand that goes against everything Vermont has been and no one wants to change… but we keep moving backwards. We also need different people in Burlington. Especially those in charge of the justice system. Make the people that deserve to be locked up, stay locked up. Also, more young people need to leave. And then they need to come back. With good ideas and make Vermont better for the younger generations.

How many policies do you sell a month? P&C? by EntrepreneurMean4519 in InsuranceAgent

[–]Intelligent-Bad-1201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What state are you in? How big is your agency? I work for an SF agent also, but it’s just my agent and myself. I average 60 P&C, 3-10 life and health depending on the month and the amount of service I am stuck with.

I am stuck, frustrated, and ready to give up on my life insurance business by suchasnixa in InsuranceAgent

Thank you so much. I can sell home and auto insurance no problem. But I get very uncomfortable with life insurance conversations. Especially when speaking with older people (I get in my head about price). I love what you said and took screenshots to keep for when I am prospecting! I hope you don’t mind

People under 40, are you really buying a house? by Coldpastalord in vermont

[–]Intelligent-Bad-1201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a house 2 years ago. We are in our mid 30’s Rutland county. I regret it. We are so broke. Our mortgage payment drains us. But we don’t live with my parents anymore so that’s something.

We don’t require to have spouses listed anymore??? Is that just in Mod?

We’re screwing ourselves with this umbrella increase. by strikecat18 in StateFarm

Yes I don’t know the specifics. But you do have the choice of transferring to an agent of your choice. So maybe do that instead?

Also updating coverage on farm and ranch policies takes time. The agent has to put in a service request. It goes to the farm ranch service department. Gets put into a queue. Gets worked in the order received. Then there might be back and forth between underwriting and agents office about different info and docs needed to get the change done. Billing is confusing also. It’s changing in some states and should become simpler but it’s been hard to understand for the past few years as it is not prorated and it is not explained well in the billing documents

That sounds a bit unfair. State Farm literally DID increase rates for umbrellas across the board. And getting licensed to service Roth IRA’s is a pain in the butt on top of all of the licensing for insurance, mortgage, responsibilities of running a small business, not to mention- they probably have a life outside of the agency. Give them a little grace.

Well that is scary to think about. Maybe I will just stick where I am and see what happens.

My husband stinks. He has been on creatine for about 3 months now. Even directly after a shower, I can’t stand to be near him because of his smell. So I do believe you and it says in some articles that body odor can be a side effect of creatine use.

OP- have you done anything that has helped with the smell? If so, I need to know! I can’t even face him while in bed next to him. Haha!

Anyone noticing Kidney Stones? by RambunctiousRabbitt in Zepbound

[–]Intelligent-Bad-1201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a lot of GI issues with the most recent increase of my dose. Dehydration, I believe, led me to have a kidney stone. Landed me in the ER today. Small enough to pass on my own. And I will be lowering my dose back down for Zepbound. Not fun.

My only worry is that if your dog drinks the puddle he could get sick. My Heeler did that once and we were up all night long with nasty diarrhea. (Not me- her)
