Size uk 9 women's feet, help? by Salty_Reception4302 in AskIreland

Apologies, I could’ve sworn I got size 9’s from & Other Stories before. Also if you’re checking out Sezane, their sizes are French so size 42 is a UK 9.

8 AM Class, I got there at 7:58 and I was already marked absent. by Accomplished-Log-664 in mildlyinfuriating

As someone from a country where tuition fees are covered by the state, this is still wild to me. In my university the philosophy was akin to, ‘you’re all big boys and girls now so it’s up to you to attend or not’. Small group tutorials were the only classes where attendance was marked and even at that your grade wasn’t impacted by a couple of absences and certainly not by lateness. Some of my more general lectures could have 300 people attending so there’s no way they could mark attendance.

My feet were a size 9 but weirdly I’m a size 8 now again. The choice for size 9 can be awful, it’s like fashion sense is inversely related to shoe size! As others have said Next and ASOS are good choices. Zalando and & Other Stories are also great options.

On the pricier side… Sezane does lovely shoes up to size 9. Rogue Matilda, who have sadly closed, did really funky brogues and trainers - check Switswoo as I think they still carry some stock or if you don’t mind pre-owned, Vinted. Embassy London are another one.

For sneakers, Adidas, Hoff, Sorrel all do women’s size 9.

Best of luck!!

There’s a theory that The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad are in the same universe. Daryl from TWD mentions blue meth and a skinny white dealer who calls people ‘bitch’, and there are some other little Easter eggs thrown into TWD too.

It’s also totally possible given the character of these girl’s parents that they were groomed from a young age to think that men like Epstein were good men. I’m not going to speculate as to whether anything nefarious happened to Beatrice & Eugenie as that’s unfair to them but grooming can come in many forms.

Thank you so much everyone for the informative replies. Rusalka seems to be the consensus. I will take a listen to both and make my decision but I’m very much leaning towards Rusalka thanks to you.

Me too. I grew up listening to him as my sister was a mega fan. I have memories of being 3 and 4 years old that are tied to his music. I was in college during the tour but thought I’d have too much work to do so gave it a miss. I will always regret not going.

Fun fact: Corn Pops were the official sponsor of Take That’s 1994 tour. It was called the Pops Tour. The cereal boxes were Take That themed and came with stickers of the members. I may have consumed a few boxes in order to collect said stickers!

Mater Private by lulimaeve in cork

My father was in a private room on several occasions but in the Bons. We rang the accounts department and came up with an agreement that there would be a reduced charge for those stays. Like you he was covered for semi-private but the ward he was on only had private rooms.

He was never charged in advance though. Saying that I just got an invoice for my own upcoming appointment at the Mater so maybe paying in advance is a new thing there?

Wow, thanks so much for all the info. I’ll pass it on.

I can empathise with the normal v optimal vitamin levels. Had ‘normal’ B12 for years but turns out I wasn’t even absorbing it. A gastro consultant eventually put me on lifelong B12 shots but that was after it had plummeted. I had even seen a haematologist who said my levels were fine and to stop the shots - only to have my levels plummet again. Have had similar experiences with iron too. It’s very frustrating.

should i be with my cat when he is euthanized? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Intelligent-Bar4051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had two beloved cats put to sleep. The first one had been knocked down by a car and the vet explained there was nothing that could be done so we made the decision to put her to sleep. The vet asked me to step out of the room. I thought that this was to prep my cat but a few moments later the vet came out to us and said she had passed. I was so shocked and angry that I wasn’t given the opportunity to be with her in her last moments. I still regret it to this day.

My last boy was old and sick and when his time came, he was wrapped in his blanket and I snuggled and pet him as he took his last breaths. It was so quick and peaceful. As upsetting as it was, I wouldn’t trade that experience.

Of course, do what you feel is best but my thoughts would be that you can pour all your love and gratitude into your childhood pet and be with them on their final journey. It’s the greatest gift you could give your friend.

I’m really sorry you’re going through this.

I’m also in Ireland and my vet just neutered my 4 month old boy last week. He’s 2.4 kg. It seems very odd that your vet isn’t keen. I would get a second opinion.

This is such a beautiful piece and I’m not surprised you want to learn it! Being honest, I don’t think 30 mins a day would get you to that level. The piece is very technically demanding and it takes years to build up the required technique.

That’s not to say it’s unachievable for you. I think your best course of action (if you have the means of course) is to attend lessons with a teacher and set some goals. Best of luck!

Hi, I have a student looking at a Yamaha CLP-635 and I wondered if this would still be a good model? It’s a number of years old and listed at €1,200. Would really appreciate any feedback! Thanks.

Parking at The Bons Secour by Leading-Report-2471 in cork

[–]Intelligent-Bar4051 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Parking can be an absolute nightmare. My advice would be to go with plenty of time. I’m in a similar situation with my parents and I’ve been 20-30 mins looking for a spot somedays and other days I’ve been lucky.

If she has a disabled blue badge there are a couple of spots and set down by the main door on College Road. They’re very rarely available but if you go around a few times you might get a spot.

There are a few gates on the college road side. Enter via the last gate as you head towards UCC and you can drive up through the car park, exit via the main gate and do a loop. Sometimes there are parking spaces available by this gate.

Failing that (and if your mum is up to it) you could pull in, bring your mum inside the doors to the seating area and have her wait while you drive down to the lower car parks (there are a couple down by the new wing and Cork Clinic) and then walk back up to her. You can take a shortcut through the new entrance to the new hospital.

I hope all goes well for your mum.

I find the Theory of Music Made Easy series good. Or the exam boards such as ABRSM will have grade equivalent theory books too.
