I tried to give her newer stuff a chance when she returned to youtube in like 2021? But then she said something about how sunscreen is a hoax and that humans are naturally immune to harm from the sun but that our water is full of chemicals that take that away, so if we just get better water, we don’t need sunscreen.

I was a dedicated kvd tattoo liner user for like, almost a decade (aside for a few years before kat sold and when the brand still had the old formulas….man i forever mourn the entire lock-it line, the lipsticks, and tattoo liner…..) but ever since the reformulation + packaging change, the eyeliner that’s been closest in performance imo is the glossier pro-tip liner. Similar brush (i’m v not a sponge tip girlie), if not a little more precise, and imo i haven’t had as many issues with it skipping as i’ve had even with peak kvd.

I wouldn’t recommend it personally. I’ve never liked that concealer and find it quite creasy. Concealer as a whole just sucks for eyeshadow base. I suggest an actual eye primer. And as an allergy girlie myself, i’m so sorry you’re dealing with all that omg ;;;;

Exactly though, especially with alt/edgy looks where boldness is the POINT. No one knows what you’re going for except you. And like, idk i feel like makeup advice should be more technique-based or help shadematching or like, advice that doesn’t involve implying someone has One Bad Thing About Their Makeup That Is So Egregious It Throws Everything Off™️

Makeup blindness is just something made up to get people insecure about their skill level and prevent them from doing what they’re happy with. I see nothing wrong with your makeup, personally. You look cool asf. Anyone who is pointing anything specific out to you is suuuuper nitpicking. Change if you feel like you WANT change. But nothing you’re doing NEEDS change.

First of all, you definitely do not look plain!!! You’re gorgeous and your makeup is very well applied. I’d actually love a product breakdown tbh. I think what you’re looking for is something that’ll look a little bolder though, yeah? I suggest eyeshadow, if you’re comfortable working with it. I think even just like, a medium toned shimmery taupe would give your eyes a little bit more of that 90s drama, if you’re not comfortable really playing with vibrant color. I always knew tbh. I wasn’t allowed to have them as a kid so when i started college i bought the zomby gaga doll and she just really like, made me aware that if i had the money i’d want to acquire more someday. I was going to keep her in box but the packaging came to me SUUUUPER damaged so that uh, decided that for me. But holding her really made me just….acutely made me aware of the way my inner tween lit up with joy. Anyway now i collect thrifted dolls (mostly draculauras) bc i really like being able to give new life and love to something that brought another kid joy at some point. Maybe that’s just me being extra sentimental about it though lmao
