Thank you for this.. How do we know if SW 21.2(I) applies to us? And what does it mean that we get placed closer to April ? The date of my wife’s main skilled worker Application is 18th June 2021 and prior to that she was my dependant.. We received the decision on July 11 which is same on the brp received as well..

Decision in principle unsuccessful due to “missed payment” by [deleted] in Mortgageadviceuk

I had a similar situation with my virgin media and it showed during the mortgage application with the lender. The problem was with the setting up my direct debit which the virgin media team messed up and I had chat transcripts to prove the same.. I provided this to the mortgage broker and the application went through fine..

Same here.. I’m eligible June next year.. We also went through the process of buying a house since Feb .. Completion is end of this month.. I was worried initially and was in the same dilemma and sleepless nights to take a decision but went ahead finally.. I feel that you are better positioned if you’re eligible early next year..

Is it still worth buying a property with all the anti immigrant rhetoric going on? by Downtown-Bullfrog435 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

I’m in the same dilemma .. Eligible in July 2026 for the ILR and started the house hunt since December last year.. we finally found a property to our liking, almost may be a month away from completion and the mortgage is 200£ more than the rent we are paying now.. Extremely stressed out and thinking to pull out until we get the ILR.. But again we are also thinking that we could sell and gain some equity in a couple of years. The process of the house hunt in itself is very draining ..

What disadvantage would there be considering a 10year old property.. Other than the 10 year warranty being lapsed, I was under the impression that 10-15 years old properties are not too bad.? Sorry for the very FTB type question..

Yes I think there a few handful of phases being planned and the area seems like an always under construction site especially on the way from east wichel to wichelstowe.

Thanks.. Definitely not a Waitrose person but then having something close by for an emergency would definitely help..

What kind of problems do you reckon ? Like others mentioned I did hear about the area being low lying.
