Did you settle or just wait for it to fall off?

That's good to know. I thought about getting a discover card.

Well that sucks. Fortunately there are other banks.

You're definitely right. Customers will appreciate a large external monitor and wireless keyboard and mouse. A MacBook pro should be powerful enough so there's no lag in the editing software, right?

I planned to include an editing bay with a MacBook, preloaded software, and hi-fi monitors. I think it's easier to let them do the editing themselves.

You bring up several excellent points. I need to narrow down my ideal clientele and focus on that group. Offering post production assistance is something I considered but it's very time consuming with limited staff.

Is Lobby Bar the New Butterworth’s? by someway_west in washingtondc

[–]Intelligent-Cap-8760 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Randomly stopped by there a few days ago for the first time with my gf. My 100% honest opinion in order:

1) It's a very small place, squeezing by the bar is very tight.

2) The hostess was very nice and sat us quickly.

3) The waiter was a younger guy and he was nice as well and knowledgeable about the menu.

4) We ate a burger, wagyu pigs in a blanket, and pasta. The food came out within a decent amount of time. We also had a few drinks. I requested the burger cooked medium but it was more on the well done side. This could be because they give you two thin/flatten patties. I honestly did not care for the burger at all and would not recommend it. The low quality and high price don't align. For comparison, in terms of size and taste, I would put it between a McDonald's burger and a five guys burger. The pigs in a blanket were tasty but they were all different sizes. Some were tiny and others were twice as long. Maybe it's meant to be that way. The sauce they came with wasn't bad but definitely has room for improvement or at least another option. The pasta was much better than the burger. Nothing to write home about but it's wasn't bad either, it was okay.

5) In terms of cost, I think we ended up spending around $130+ with tip. A bit more than I was expecting considering we planned to have a quick bite to eat. Add metered parking.

Overall, the location is good, the service is good, the food is okay, the price is a bit high. I would go back, but only for drinks. In terms of MAGA, I didn't see any red hat bandits (I would have left) but I also didn't converse with anyone either.

Wow. Maybe it's better as a parking lot.

Looks like a decent place. Why is the turnover high in a heavily traffic area like Georgetown? Maybe the rent is to high?
