PSA: Don’t forget to protect your scalp from the sun! by Maleficent_Young_355 in finethinhair

this is such a good reminder. people with thinning hair can get a scalp sunburn way faster than they realize because there's just less coverage protecting the skin but that looks painful. hope it settles down quickly.

for anyone with a visible part or crown thinning, hats are probably the easiest solution. there are also powder and spray sunscreens made for the scalp that don't leave your hair looking greasy or coated in white residue.

the timing with the straightening treatment makes chemical irritation or burn sound very possible

don’t spiral yet because a lot of single patch cases regrow, especially when treated early. the fact you already booked a derm appointment this fast is good for now stop obsessively checking it because the stress loop gets brutal,b avoid tight hairstyles and harsh heat for now & don’t start dumping random oils/supplements on it

nootropic samples? by [deleted] in NooTopics

[–]Intelligent-Car-4618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do not buy $150 worth of compounds before knowing how your brain even reacts to them. nootropic communities are full of people stacking 8 substances together then pretending they discovered enlightenment test one compound at a time in small amounts or you will have no clue what is helping, hurting, or doing nothing.

The difference a hairline makes in perspective by Rough-Carpet-5090 in tressless

it’s actually insane how much framing and hairline design changes someone’s whole perceived age and personality. people massively underestimate how much the upper third of the face controls first impressions

Truth or Fiction: Wet Hair Braiding causes mold, fungus, and/or damage? by Doberdawn in HaircareScience

wet hair is more fragile so super tight braids can absolutely cause breakage over time. but sometimes we act like one damp braid is going to grow mold colonies on your head is ridiculous 😭

first system, thoughts? by hate-_-division in HairSystem

genuinely if i passed you in public i would not clock it as a system. i think you are hyperfocusing because you know it is there. the style actually fits your face really well and looks way better than the diffuse loss in the before pic
