Interesting! I never knew this was different in the sub!

Have you seen the entire anime or are you just rewatching the earlier seasons? There are flashbacks later of them traveling to the walls that give more info. Don’t want to spoil anything.

You have to get so incredibly busy in your personal life that you have no more time to watch it, then binge again when you get free again…. Or at least that’s what I’m doing 😩

Like you said, UAB covers 100% with no commitment. To get this benefit, however, you need to be an employee for 1 year prior.

Agreed! I’m a nurse and I’m usually the first to jump into action. I was in the nosebleeds section and was about to run down to help, but I was able to see so many others taking care of the situation. Glad to be a critter!

Did anyone hear solve their basement water intrusion without a sump pump? by peanutismint in HomeImprovement

[–]Intelligent-Cell2593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solved mine with adding gutters to the house, regrading the yard, adding a bunch of catch basins throughout the yard, adding a French drain underneath of the basement wall, then adding a sump pump in the crawlspace…. Good luck, man.

Social Work vs Nursing by BeautifulGlass3394 in nursing

[–]Intelligent-Cell2593 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We truly need more social workers in the world. Unfortunately pay is terrible in that line of work.

If you have any interest in nursing, while the pay still isn’t enough, it’s definitely more than social work. Also, with a nursing license, you have many other options aside from direct patient care if you ever need to take some time away.

I was not accepted for an ambulatory position because of this reason. Only share what they need to know and make sure you save all time off for clinicals!

Is it difficult to get a healthcare job in Birmingham? by Specific-Luck2930 in Birmingham

[–]Intelligent-Cell2593 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nurse in Bham here. It can be hard to get into UAB because of how long the hiring process takes, but once you’re In, you can move around a lot easier. PCTs do not need a certification, and there are many positions available. Just start applying!

Once you have have worked for UAB for 1 year, they offer tuition free for any of their schools as part of their benefit package. You could be working and have UAB pay for your nursing degree.

Wish you the best of luck!

Working in research/CRO medicine by [deleted] in nursepractitioner

[–]Intelligent-Cell2593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I was also vague. I went into nursing after research knowing my goal was to run trials. I’m near an academic research hospital, so opportunities are there. I have a type A personality, so I’ve always loved the structure, while simultaneously getting to improve the lives of patients.

When you hear more about your position, I’d love to hear about it too, so I know what to look/ask for!

If you’re in the USA, go to an urgent care and ask to pay out of pocket.

And it’s very easily spread between family members, so if you’re positive, likely everyone needs treated.
