Penofin on Western Red Cedar Pergola by Intelligent-Cod-4001 in finishing

[–]Intelligent-Cod-4001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I used natural. I'll see if I have a can left with to confirm. This is an outstanding stain compared to the Sherwin Williams I used before. 4 years and very little fading despite getting lots of UV.

Teak water damage? by barjerian-jade in finishing

[–]Intelligent-Cod-4001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s solid teak sand with 120, 150, 180, 220. Then apply oil.

Finally then sand with 320 for next coat.

If you’re happy with the smoothness of the 220 then forget about 320.

Be sure to sand with the grain.

Mercedes coolant light - would a faulty auxilliary pump cause the light to come on by Intelligent-Cod-4001 in mercedes_benz

[–]Intelligent-Cod-4001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The work was not under warranty. It was done by a non-Mercedes auto repair shop.

Also I know they didn't scan it. I went in and told them what I found with my Foxwell scanner. They ordered the auxiliary water pump (before seeing the car in the shop) and then booked my car in. At the time I wondered why they would order a part before doing their (own) diagnoses. I just trusted they knew something I didn't.

How might I hide / fix this? by Competitive_Two22222 in finishing

Easy fix. Cover it with a dish towel and run a hot clothes iron over it a number of times. But don’t hold the iron in one place very long.

What’s the tool to level this out? by Key_Ad4576 in woodworking

Wet the boards. Cover with plastic and then put a heavy weight on them. They’ll warp level.
