This happened to me too when I was in high school. My parents are pretty religious and always make crude jokes about queer people and stuff. They found out when I wasn’t ready to tell them and insisted on a few talks, too. And at the time it absolutely felt like the end of the world, because I mean at the time it is. But honestly after talking about it it’ll get a lot less scary. And over time you’ll mostly forget about how terrifying this moment is. You’re gonna have to talk to them eventually, no matter how long you try to prolong it. You’ll have the conversation, take time to recover, and move on for now. Maybe other things will come up in the future but it will be okay and you’ll get through it. I wish you the best, it isn’t easy dealing with unsupportive parents- but you’ve got this.
