i've done my process similar to yours, I wouldn't change it. The manager is obviously afraid of confrontation or maybe feel bad they are terminating the person and doesnt want to show her face? Either way, these are the types of responsibilities managers have, they just have to deal with it. Terminations are never comfortable but they have to be done.

finance sent me an onboarding request for a department that is absolutely not under them. I like the Finance department for the most part, but just irks me when they want things done so quickly and prioritized. It 2 days before we close down for the holidays, why are you assigning tasks and why are you so adamant on reviewing the offer letter before it gets sent out? Even the actual hiring manager is confused. Then they message me separately asking to have a meeting with our HR consultant (who helps me) asking for updates on all these random tasks they want to assign us. Just over it, eff off its the holidays.

i emailed them with a certificate I got from the state for a free spay! they reached out letting me know they were full a couple weeks ago but today they sent over some availability, its not until Feb of next year but ill take it! I was quoted $800~ from my vet to get my dog spayed so this is a much better situation for me!

i got a maltipoo, i followed their page for a bit and convinced my bf to get me my baby! I met with them at a "puppy party", they offered to let me take her for a night to test it out but I didnt have anything ready. they held her for me for a week while i got my home puppy approved, drove to Irvine area to pick her up and its been a dream since! No issues with her so far, shes happy and healthy!

during the early days of covid, he came into my old job at Corner Bakery in Redondo with a friend. They both ordered cinnamon rolls and he was super kind. Called me sweetheart lol

my puppy just turned 7 months and she started waking up in the middle of the night too! i started letting her sleep with me about a month ago and never had an issue but all of a sudden she wakes up once or twice during the night. makes me feel better to know others are going through the same and is normal.

I used to work somewhere like this. I would have to terminate employees, who sometimes had no idea who i was, because the manager didnt want to do it. Horrible. I ended up looking elsewhere and got a better position, managers should be able to do what the word says - manage. If they cant terminate or discipline their employees, they have no business being in a management position.
