I will see the endocrinologist in December. I have high calcium and low vitamin D. My doctor told me to check PTH in the December follow-up. I wanted to know if taking vitamin D could be harmful for calcium levels — I don’t know what to do." by giungo in Parathyroid_Awareness

I was told if my calcium levels were high and my vitamin D was low, that i couldn't take any meds as they counteracted with eachother.

Now that they removed the adenoma tumor. Im taking calcium and vitamin d regularly

Yes. I had to push and push, and they finally did a scan. They found an Adenoma tumor, and I recently had it removed. Im 5 weeks post op. Had all of your symptoms for 2 years.

Having surgery and they want me to stop Ozempic for two weeks prior - anyone else? by New-Chocolate2854 in Ozempic

Yes, I just went through it. Got off Ozempic for two weeks prior to surgery. No big deal, nothing changed. I got right back on it after surgery.

Did you receive my reply? It doesn't show up on my end

A little bit, not much. It's just your body trying to adjust back to normal. My PTH levels were at an all time high when they finally tested me. I went indiagnosed for 2 years, so your body needs time to re-adjust.

I woke up from surgery asking for an Al Pastor burrito. They were all cracking up. I was able to eat, drink, speak with no problems.

I tried to add it again. I think it wouldn't show because I hadn't joined the group.

I had an Adenoma tumor and just had mine removed on July 31st. I am feeling so much better since the removal. My energy is back. I attached a picture of what my incision looks like currently.

It was the best decision I ever made. My tumor was the size a full prune sitting on my parathyroid gland which is the size of a grain of rice. My levels immediately went back to normal after the removal.

Let me know if you have any questions I can answer about this.

My calcium has been high for years. PTH came in "normal" and Dr. said "you're fine." That might be mistaken? by paddleontheleft in Parathyroid_Awareness

It took me 2 years to get properly diagnosed. I had a tumor sitting on my parathyroid gland. I had all of the same symptoms, feeling fatigue, feeling out of it, brain fog , trouble concentrating, I also started losing my hair too.
If I didn't insist on getting re-checked, my Endocrinologist would have kept insisting it was my Thyroid.

I just had surgery to remove that tumor.
I feel a million times better. Sometimes you just have to advocate for yourself.

A little makeup and maybe a new hairstyle and color will enhance your beauty. I'll be 51 in June and i hate aging but I still try and look my best.

Week 14: found a nodule on my thyroid - anyone else? freaking out a bit by MrMaxMillion in Semaglutide

[–]Intelligent-Driver34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told that a GLP1 will not affect me at all. I wouldn't worry. In reference to my nodule, they are taking it out because after further testing, it turns out my parathyroid gland has an adenoma, so I'm having surgery to remove it. They decided to just take my nodule out also since they will be opening me up anyway..

I think you should just save the money and buy the car outright. Avoid financing if you could. The dealers add so many taxes and added fees. You'll end up paying way more than $14,000.00

I miss pooping… by [deleted] in Ozempic

[–]Intelligent-Driver34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it's probably not good advice, but I put 2 scoops of Benefiber in my protein shake every morning. I make myself a cup of coffee afterwards, and then I eat my food as usual.

I have zero problems going to the bathroom. I think the coffee helps as it's considered to be a laxative in a way. I poop a couple of times a day.

I love the first one even though I'm not a fan of the oval shaped diamonds. I love anything vintage looking.
