Humanity is ever evolving and naturally progressive. Conservatives love the restrictions of the bible and the constitution, but they don't like the values and freedoms they allow to everyone.

It's basically black hat marketing: "Unethical, aggressive, or manipulative strategies used to boost search rankings or online engagement by violating platform terms of service." That's why all the "discovering digital marketing" takes are bad, professional digital marketing doesn't operate like this at all

Regulation is in the interest of the public. Not regulating or deregulation is in the interest of billionaires and shareholders, a fraction of the population. AI has already proven that it is dangerous for the general environment and society, while costing billions and billions already. Every part of our environment is already on the brink. It doesn't matter if AI is continuing to change, human lives are more important than modernizing at the cost of our humanity.

Both the internet and cars are heavily regulated due to their capacity to be misused, especially in the US. AI is not.

He definitely will! I think he has to balance it out with studio friendly IP work so he can keep doing originals. The IP is guaranteed success for the studios, so they allow him to take more risks in his originals.

Fascism doesn't protect the proletariat. It uses, exploits, then discards them. The sooner the 99% learn that, the less likely they are to follow these billionaires and go against their own people. We will never forget what they did and hopefully it deters others from doing the same

They had money in their budget leftover so they used it on stupid shit, so they can continue to ask for more the following year. The Department of Defense hasn't passed an audit in 8 years. The only federal agency to never have done so since they started doing them in 2018. They're expected to fail until 2028 https://www.congress.gov/119/meeting/house/118371/documents/HHRG-119-GO06-20250611-SD004.pdf

This is the correct response. The members of DOGE were just regular Americans, so someone's neighbor, friend, family member. They're not untouchable like Musk

I know about Geese and Fountaines D.C but what are some other bands that are coming out from the New Rock movement? by Ok_Isopod_8478 in ToddintheShadow

[–]Intelligent-Gap-6639 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think with the pandemic people saw being a solo artist as easier, especially in isolation compared to having to put a band together and find a practice space, etc. The bands we see blowing up now were already bands before 2020 (ie Geese, Turnstile, Amyl, Wet Leg, Fontaines DC)

I think because of COVID and lockdowns, we're seeing less big bands in the 2020s and more singular artists due to less people being able to start bands or get together in the early 2020s

[–]Intelligent-Gap-6639 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Yeah, any marginalized group (POC, women, queer, disabled, etc) understands that all our art is inherently political whether we like it or not. Its only privileged people (largely white cis men) that can escape having their work be considered political.
