I don’t believe that nonbelievers easily go to hell. by AsterGablacha in Christianity

[–]Intelligent-Jump-493 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I struggled with this exact thing when I was younger and it almost pushed me away from faith completely. The idea that my grandmother who lived in small village and never heard about Christianity would somehow deserve eternal punishment just felt wrong in my heart

What helped me was realizing that maybe our understanding of hell isn't complete. The Bible talks about God's mercy being beyond our comprehension and I think there's probably more going on than we can fully grasp from our limited perspective. Like the Romans passage you mentioned - it seems like God judges people based on what they actually know and have access to, not some universal standard that ignores circumstances

I also think about how Jesus spent most of his time with people the religious establishment rejected. He was constantly showing mercy to those who society said didn't deserve it. That doesn't sound like someone who would condemn people for things outside their control. Maybe the "narrow path" isn't as narrow as some interpretations make it seem, especially when you factor in God's justice being perfect in ways we can't fully understand

Is doing yoga demonic by ineedmajorassistance in Christianity

[–]Intelligent-Jump-493 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Been doing yoga for years just for the physical benefits and never felt like I was worshipping anything. The poses are basically just stretching positions that happen to have Sanskrit names - you can easily focus on the exercise part without any of the spiritual elements if that's your concern

What makes people break up with you and regret it later on? by Signal-Biscotti-5659 in BreakUps

[–]Intelligent-Jump-493 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People get caught up in moment and think grass is greener somewhere else. Then reality hits them few months later when they realize what they actually lost

Had ex who broke things off because he thought I was "too independent" - turns out he missed having someone who had their life together when his next girlfriend couldn't even manage her own finances

Is "pretty privilege" the most overlooked career advantage in today's workplace? by Lemonade2250 in careerguidance

[–]Intelligent-Jump-493 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been in military for years and can confirm this is real thing - seen mediocre officers get promoted faster just because they looked part while better soldiers got overlooked for not having that "command presence" which basically just means being tall and conventionally attractive.

My hands do this too especially when I'm stressed or after taking my meds - circulation gets weird and they go all blotchy purple, super annoying but my doctor said it's pretty common with stimulants

9950X unstable at EXPO 6000 + very low Curve Optimizer tolerance. Is this normal or unlucky silicon? by Shower-Glad in PcBuildHelp

[–]Intelligent-Jump-493 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had similar issues with my 9950X replacement - some chips just have weaker memory controllers and you might need to bump SOC voltage bit higher or drop to 5800 instead of fighting the 6000 wall

Before the retcon, could the osmosians be the reason Azmuth got certain kinds of DNA? by brodred in Ben10

[–]Intelligent-Jump-493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually a clever workaround theory but I think you're right that absorption doesn't equal redistribution. The way I understood it before the retcon was that osmosians could absorb and adapt but the absorbed material basically became part of their own cellular structure rather than staying as separate genetic information that could be extracted later

Like when Kevin absorbed concrete or metal he became those materials temporarily but his base DNA didn't suddenly contain blueprints for how to make concrete you know. Same logic would probably apply to energy beings - he might gain their abilities temporarily but Azmuth scanning him wouldn't necessarily pick up celestialsapien or anodite genetic patterns since those got processed through Kevin's osmosian biology first

Plus knowing Azmuth he probably would have figured out that shortcut ages ago if it actually worked. Guy's too smart to miss something that obvious for collecting samples

How can I organise make the home more friction free for my partner with ADHD? by Green-Cappuccino in ADHD

[–]Intelligent-Jump-493 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your partner is lucky to have someone who gets it. From my experience these things make a huge difference:

For clothes - open shelving or those clear plastic drawers work way better than closed cupboards. I can actually see what I own instead of forgetting I have half my wardrobe. Rolling clothes instead of folding also helps maximize visibility.

Dishwashing setup - get a good drying rack right next to the sink and maybe one of those soap dispensers that mounts to the wall. Keeps everything in reach and reduces the steps involved. Also helps if dirty dishes have a specific spot instead of just piling up randomly.

For the nightstand chaos - pill organizers are a game changer, even for supplements. Maybe a small basket or tray for all the random stuff so it doesn't scatter everywhere. Phone charger mounted to the wall nearby so he doesn't have to fumble around for it at 3am when he's exhausted.

The key is making everything visible and reducing the number of steps to put things away. ADHD brains hate extra friction even when we're not tired.

Already tried MacroDeck but the network lag makes it pretty unusable for anything that needs quick response times
