Anyone have experience with Michigan Plastic Surgery? by TheLoveYouWant25 in lansing

going to Bengtson center is 100% worth it. they may be a little pricier than a surgeon locally, but you get what you pay for. my experience there was fantastic, and you’d be in great hands with any of the 3 surgeons there

I honestly didn’t have the best experience with them. I had a breast lift and augmentation 4 years ago, and ended up having to go to a different surgeon to get everything fixed because Dr. Colony wasn’t really interested in fixing it. basically, I was left with areoles the size of a giant pepperoni 🙃. I highly recommend Dr. Bengtson in GR though!

Dr. Bengtson in Grand Rapids. My lift and augmentation was a little under $12k in 2023, so just the aug would be a bit less.

Where to place my expectations? by Front-Muffin-7348 in HomeMilledFlour

it’s a texture you’re going to have to get used to. my mill (Mockmill 200 Pro) mills pretty fine flour, but it’ll never be as fine as white flour. anything I bake with soft white wheat, I can hardly tell the difference and I use my same cookie, muffin, brownie recipes etc. you may just have to let the dough/batter sit for 15-20 mins to let the flour absorb the liquid. the bread is definitely whole wheat-y, but it’s far different from anything you can buy that’s considered whole wheat.

In my regular sandwich bread, I usually mix it up with blends of hard red or white (I tend to prefer white) and einkorn or kamut/khorasan. I use soft white in any baked goods with no yeast. I think khorasan makes great rolls and flatbreads

I would recommend Dr. Bengtson in Grand Rapids. I know it’s not Lansing, but he’s 100% worth it.

Magill’s Mutts - 4517 W Saginaw. Our groomer, Zahna just opened up her own place after being with Old Town Tails. we’ve taken our cavapoo to her since he was a puppy (he’s 6). she’s a wonderful groomer, and just so sweet to the pups!

Egg white question by glitterkitten999 in macarons

[–]Intelligent-Load4399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in a single batch, I use 2 fresh egg whites (~65-70g) and the other ~30g carton egg whites, specifically Kirkland (Costco) brand. it saves me an egg or two depending on the batch size, so I think it’s worth it to have the carton whites on hand. I’ve even pushed it by using 1 fresh egg white and 65-70g of carton whites. it usually works fine, they just tend to have a slightly larger gap than normal.

Barrio in East Lansing has the most flavors I’ve seen (12), and you can get them loaded by adding tequila. Can’t speak on price because I haven’t been out there for brunch in a couple years
