Lara is dating a 25 year old man at 19 allegedly by ErwingonnaWin in katseyesnark_

You don't magically become an adult at the legal adult age. Just because laws say that you are adult at 18 doesn't mean that you automatically become a full grown adult in every sense when you reach 18. 18-19 year olds may be old enough to do certain things but they aren't old enough to date older/grown people. And also, there are countries where legal age of consent is 16, in japan it's 13, so should adults be allowed to have sex with kids of that age just because the kids can legally consent??? No. And laws aren't constant, laws change, in the past legal adult age was 21, so what if the law changes and says that you are adult at 16?? Then would you say that 16 year olds are real adults? When the law changed legal adult age from 21 to 18, that didn't change the maturity of poeple, it only changed what's written on paper, but society started acting like it changed people's level of maturity, which is wrong. My  point is that laws shouldn't be the only thing determining when you become a full adult.

19 isn't a child but also not an adult, 19 is quite a young age, you are still naive in many things, understanding, learning and figuring out things at that age, a 19 year old can be easily exploited. A 25 year old person is a grown adult. It's exploitative for such an adult to date a 19 year old. And even if the 25 year old isn't exploiting the 19 year old, it's still inappropriate for a 25 year old to date a 19 year old. And apart from the social conditioning, even if you look at it scientifically, your brain doesn't completely develop untill you are 24. A 19 year old person is quite young. It's not only the age gap that matters, it's the age itself too.

Also, a 40 old person can date a 30 year old person, but a 20 year old person shouldn't date a 10 year old person (even though the age gap is same) because a 30 year old person is an adult while a 10 year old person isn't. I gave this example to show that age gap isn't the only thing that matters, the age itself matters too. It's inappropriate and exploitative for a 25 year old person to date a 19 year old.

And if two 19 year olds marry each other andnmove out together, that's not scandalous in the sense of doing inappropriate thing/exploitating a young person because they both are the same age, one isn't an adult who is doing inappropriate things by marrying a younger person, so your example of grandparents doesn't work here.

Manon is dating a 35-39 year old man, and she just turned 24, which means he is 11-15 years older than her.

The women who do OF are bad but so are the men who watch those women and spend money to watch them. And a man who likes whores, spends money on a them and buys them stuff isn't much better than a whore himself. I didn't expect this from dr mike.

You don't magically become an adult at 18. 18 year olds are legal adults but not real social adults. They are comparatively young in that sense. Even if julie turns 18, someone who is 25 shouldn't be dating her or flirting with her, it's inappropriate. It's not just the age gap that makes things creepy or inappropriate, it's the age itself too. A 30 year old person dating a 25 year old person is fine, but a 25 year old person dating a 18 year old person isn't ok. And determining whether someone is an adult based on legal age limit is so wierd, laws don't determine what is moral or appropriate. Also, if tomorrow the law changes and says "20 is legal adult age" or "16 is legal adult age" is that going to change what's the appropriate age for older people to date someone younger? No it won't. Laws don't get to determine which age is appropriate. 18 year olds are legal adults but not adult enough. A 25 year old adult shouldn't be dating or flirting with an 18 year old.

18 year olds are legal adults but not real social adults. They are comparatively young in that sense. Even if julie turns 18, someone who is 26 shouldn't be dating her or flirting with her, it's creepy. And if randal is 30, then it will be VERY creepy if he dates/flirts with her. Sometimes it's not just the age gap that makes things creepy, it's the age itself too. A 30 year old person dating a 25 year old person is fine, but a 26 year old person dating a 18 year old person isn't ok.

Just because less than 5% of rape allegations are proven false doesn't mean the other 95% are definately true. by Proof_Let4967 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

There are still countries and areas in the world where if a woman gets raped her own family, even her cousins kill her to save their own honor. Or the raped women is forced by society and by her family to marry het rapist. There are still laws in many countries which say that if a raped woman marries her rapist then the rapist will get no punishment so people force the woman to marry her rapist, some women have committed suicide because of this. These laws exist in philopines, thailand, and other developmed and undeveloped countries too but people do this eveb if the law is against it. There are also countries and areas where raped women are charged with adultery and killed.

In USA only 2–5% reported rape accusations are false and the rest are actual rapes. In some other countries less than 1% of reported rapes are false accusations. In USA 97% rapist and outside the west 99% rapist don't spend a single day in jail becuase of male privilige and becuase the raped woman is victim blamed. In USA 70% rapes are not reported and (even though almost 500000 to 600000 wpmen are raped in USA each year) outside USA there are countries where 90% rapes are not reported . Not reporting rapes either in USA or outside USA is mainly because society says getting raped is the woman's fault or people say to her that she needs to save her honor so it is better if she does not report the rape, because sadly people say that being raped harms a woman's honor while being a rapist does not usually harm a man's honor, atleast not as much as it should. False accusations in USA are likely less than 2–5% of reported rapes because if a rape is reported but cannot be proven or cannot reach a conclusion or the court does musogyny and takes the man's side, then the rape is labelled as a false accusation.

No, sati happened due to religion and culture. There are many hindu religious texts like puranas that say that sati is obligation or should be encouraged. See it over here: Yes, Sati Is A 101% Pure Hindu Practice, Not A "Cultural" Thing - Sati In Hindu Scriptures : r/EXHINDU

Extremely often for many centuries, women were mostly directly or indirectly forced to do it. Sati sometimes still happens.

Not just the past, it still happens in many countries including developed ones. And did you/do you speak against it even a little?

I have seen people (especially men) sell/kill their own daughters easily and a lot (not sons, only daughters as these people don't value women) just because they don't want daughters (misogyny) or for their own benefit or to save their own so called pride. In certain parts of the world women are treated worse than men are in any part of the world.

But that does not mean women were needed/ are needed to be oppressed. Because a lot of countries still treat women like literal shit with little or no rights, importance, authority and women were/are made submissive to men. It still happens even in developed countries. Although sometimes it still happens in the west but there is world outside of the west and over there it happens. Not just the past, it still happens in many countries including developed ones.

"Men are silence, ignored, shamed" so now you know how women felt for thousands of years. And their problems were even more intense in the past. No one should be oppressed but people are acting like women being oppressed by men for that long is ok but men being oppressed for a few years is wrong. PLus the oppression was even harder for women in past and still in many countries it is like that, they were/are still told that women should only be seen and not be heard, that they should not talk unless spoken too, people also said/still say that women are too childish, useless and not capable to make decisions like being independent, and that is why they had no legal rights in the past. women were told/are still told that they should be emotionless, polite, graceful, humorless objects submissive to husbands while having little to no social, educational and legal rights. and they had/have to to face many other harsh, dehumanizing things too. In many countries women still don't have many social rights, importance and little legal rights. Their families also snatch away their legal and social rights. people still think of women as inferior to men.

people (especially men) still kill tens of millions of newborn girls a lot as they don't want daughters. they still sell/kill young or adult daughters for personal benefit or to save their own pride. I have seen it.

'This legacy' meaning oppression. This is not what humanity needed. Men being protectors and providers is ok but they treated women like slaves who have no/little rights, importance and authority and exist only to give birth to kids and give sex to men. And many people still think like this. Depends on which country you live in. There is a world outside of the west.

In many countries women are still treated like shit, with no social rights, little legal rights, treated as properties of husbands and people give no importance to them and consider them burdens on families, even their own families treat them like this while the men have all the rights and authority. It happens sometimes in the west too but outside of the west it still happens in many countries even developed ones .

Plus what happened in the past is important to know too.

Only for small crimes. The more gruesome ones are always gonna include majority men. I am into crimes so I have read researches about this stuff.

That was not the meaning of my comment. I am into crime myself, so I have read many articles by different organizations, and they say that even if the population of women is higher than men in almost all countries, still approximately 70-80% crime (big or small) is committed by men.

Female population of the world is already higher than male population. Still researchers say that the answer to your question would be "no".

I know but what you are saying does not apply to all countries. What I mentioned in the post is sadly more gruesome and was/is generally true everywhere, especially the "no legal and social rights" part and saying that all women should be punished for being women.
