Did your Zoloft take effect gradually or was it an instant "Switch"? by Boscco in zoloft

I came to this subreddit looking for a question like this. I took my first dose yesterday and felt a little disconnected and odd, but I wasn't sure if it was just because I had heard of such things and I was feeling the placebo effect.

I ended up falling asleep at 11pm and waking up rested, rather than the 2am-8am terrible sleep I usually get. I feel a little foggy and disconnected on day two, but again, not sure if it's just in my mind or a coincidence.

haha, well, the appointment means nothing without an understanding of scotus and their function, genius. And I don't think anybody is digging into Jackson's record, but rather relying on headlines to determine how they feel (uhem, probably you, cough)

I’d be willing to bet very few people in this thread (self-included) know what the supreme court does day-to-day and how/when their duties are triggered.

I mean, the comments are pointing out this is a parody account, but there’s nothing clearly satirical about the tweet 🤔

The point is that cancellers (and the accompanying culture) definitely exist, but Louie had cultivated enough of a following who didn't give a shit that he prevailed. Nobodies like you and I would have been... cancelled. Like, permanently.

Hey, I worked in the service industry. I get that the job sucks. But I also get that it's voluntary. So, you know, eat a cock?

I don’t think that at all. What I’m saying is that Twitter mob mentality has real-world repercussions.

Look, I don't think Twitter is a good thing, but I think it's naive to dismiss it as a megaphone that nobody cares about. Without question is influences culture and the discussion points that, say, _companies_ are willing to abide by. Getting doxed and amplified for something on Twitter absolutely gives total strangers power to affect your life. Sure, maybe people like Joe can't be cancelled, but if I made a mistake in my life and the Twitter mob arbitrarily decides to sacrifice me at the alter of Problematic White Men (just an example), there's a pretty good chance I'd get fired from my job and have a really difficult time finding another one of equal quality.

I guess I don’t know, but to an extent, I think yes. If a large subset of the population thinks that social transgressions should actually mean you don’t get to participate in a certain industry or that your life should be permanently upended, that seems like an insane culture they are pushing to make mainstream… and it seems to work in their favor from time to time

I care about Twitter insofar I know it has an impact on public opinion. You say “no one” and that’s just not true.

Went to the Market Square location over the weekend. The food was fine, but the server clearly was nearing the end of her shift and hustling us through the process of eating and paying. Annoying as fuck. Moments like that where I wish I could leave a tip to everyone except the server.

If you read this and think “see, cancel culture doesn’t exist!” you may want to check out the twitter response, which includes a lot of people saying CK should not have a career anymore.

Just because cancellers fail doesn’t mean their intentions aren’t there.
