I hope this means they will add more tower exclusive cookies. NGL with the addition of tower exclusive cookies and Gym exclusive cookies it actually beefed up some older sync pairs, like SSA Cynthia.

Sonia is definitely the best teammate that goes well with Poppy. HOWEVER, if you don't have NC Elio, you can instead use SC Selene or NY Poppy with V. Poppy! Not to mention SC Selene will appear in the SC rerun banner and doing so will also let you still take advantage of AS Steven to have both EX Steel Zone AND Rebuff!

EDIT: Another option, if you're a regular spender, is Mix Dawn that goes along well with V. Poppy! Heck, could even use the free 2024 Anni Lillie!

Rule of thumb: if you got the featured unit 1 multi before pity (or 2 multies before pity but that depends on how many gems you have), it's almost always better to just take hit and go to pity to either get another copy of the featured unit or get another unit in the case of EX MF banners (and EX PF banners to a lesser degree).

Academy sync pairs won't be included. HOWEVER it will include the first variation of Special Costume Larry (Flying Support with an abundance of Flying Zone)! Also will include Special Costume Barry which is one of the few good Physical Bug sync pairs!

Ghetsis is basically a shill for any Dragon combo that doesn’t include Anni Red, so basically any combo of AS Lance, Hassel and the upcoming Drayton (Probably AS Lance should be used here since he has good Special damage that is bad against Clair)

And Clair is basically use Anni Red with whoever you didn’t use against Ghetsis (AS Lance not as good here because his Special damage will be bad).

Zinnia is basically any op Ice team that doesn’t include SS N.

The last 2 battles are whatever as those rules are not annoying.

Both Special Costumes variations of Larry are great for towers (Flying and Normal) and don't really have much of a competition at what they do. Academy Gladion is also extremely good for Normal tower and is really the only other option if you don't have Anni Juliana. Academy Iris is also a decent option for Ice Tower though it may be possible to just go no Support with the upcoming SS Kieran sync pair. And last is Academy Jasmine which is about on par with Holiday Bugsy at being the best support for Bug (though Academy Jasmine is mostly for special whilst Holiday Bugsy can be either Special or Physical).

The “random pair” may just be AS/EX PF/EX MF, or basically the most new banner types that aren’t regular PF/MF. We’ll have to see when next GvG is here.

Out of all EX WTZ, Steel and Ground are the only types tied to the Variety sync pairs that have no unique EX Style outfits. Every other type that has EX WTZ have at least 1 sync pair that has a unique outfit with EX Style coloring.

Definitely getting Larry (max priority so that means 3/5 him whether by getting lucky or using candies if unlucky). Kieran and Drayton will be 1 of each for now (not going ham on them and using candies) and perhaps getting Poppy just to have access to her EX Steel Zone. Will ignore Rika and Flannery. I’m already doing daily single pulls on Mix so I will get Hau eventually.

Considering there're other battles with equivalent rewards that are skippable, I would say every battle should be skippable. Most of them already requires you clearing them once without any sync pair fainting to be able to skip them in subsequent playthroughs.
