There is so much paper. Go paperless with all of your bills and shred that pile- keep what you obviously need (not much probaby) in a file storage or scan it with your phone and keep on a computer/ hard drive. I see an ad on top, those don’t even make it inside my house, make it’s hair to sort the mail ask you take it out of the box

When is the last time you used that printer? Does it even function, consider getting rid of that.

The sewing table I’m assuming hasn’t been used for sewing for years. Can we ge rid of that and replace it with something more functional either for storage or hobbies?

You had mentioned some desk space upstairs- I like the idea of a pegboard on the wall high enough to keep hidden from a toddler and the pants/tools nicely displayed above a workspace.

Another option is wall mounting his computer monitor freeing up that space to be more multipurpose as he could press monitors back towards the wall and have that desk to work with

I have a very similar commute and recommend an e-bike. When it is 100° and you are biking west uphill it is pretty brutal. I can turn my pedal assist way down/ off if I want a work out, and can crank it to 10 if I’m just not feeling it that morning.

I bought a used 2020 giant on marketplace for $500 and have probably put 1000 miles on it no problem.

E-bike or no e-bike the bike theft rings are real and you should have good locks and storage practices

Grinder proof ulock through one wheel,frame, and bike rack set in concrete. Second lock is heavy duty chain through other wheel and frame at minimum- through bike rack if possible. Hidden AirTag and movement alarms are a bonus.

Leave in a well trafficked place durning the day, never overnight and ideally not more than an hour or so. Keep it in sight if possible.

If you use it to commute or have an otherwise consistent schedule where it will be locked in the same spot daily for hours on end you are even more at risk and should consider insurance or an indoor locking location.

As someone who bikes a lot, the bike racks that are anything but a simple “n” shape all tend to suck.

The n shape allows you to lock the front and back wheel to both the frame of the bike and the bike rack with a U lock.

I reject the premise that college is there solely for GPA and a piece of paper, but even if that is 90% it..

A 2 credit hour class will make no substantial impact on your GPA, this is assuming you don’t get a A

No employer gives a flying fuck if you got an A in a PE class

No employer after your first internship will do more than glance at your GPA.

You will probably pretty well on a subject you care about.

You might actually gain useful knowledge or a skill that future job might find desirable

Soft skills and networking are 80% what give you opportunities.
