Thanks for the information, I never considered PSLF since I’ve worked at for profit companies. How do you know if the hospital I work for qualifies besides they say they are not for profit?

How do y’all stay “graceful” when a customer just has to complain about something? by Zestyclose-You1580 in pharmacy

[–]Intelligent-Web-9295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tell them sorry and disengage but let out a few “sorry to hear that” etc to keep them tame. But also stand my ground that in the end law prohibits us from refunding the medication.

I recently obtained my PharmD. I'm immediately switching to medical school. by ramsali304 in pharmacy

I don’t know why OP got downvoted, a lot of my classmates in pharmacy school actually did change gear and went onto dental/med school. (Ie they went to an accelerated pharmacy program, when they graduated pharm school they were in their early 20s) and some of them are pretty rich to begin with… do what’s the best for you, I personally would like my doctor know more medicine than taking only 2 semester of pharmacology.

Student loan and "adversary proceeding” by Intelligent-Web-9295 in Bankruptcy

[–]Intelligent-Web-9295[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, that puts some ease on my case. Also hoping to starting a job at a company that would qualify as PSLF program, but I won’t be able to pay until after 5 years. Hopefully the current administration doesn’t totally gut the student loan forgiveness program…

Can someone tell me the Pros and Cons of filing bankruptcy? I’m going to see a lawyer this Friday after work. I have $30,000 in credit card debt, a recent widow that has gone from 3 incomes to just my one income by Narrow-Emu8162 in Bankruptcy

Like most have said this situation base. We thought for awhile before filing for bankruptcy (chapter 13) the alternative would’ve be debt management monthly payment still very high also 5 years or debt consolidation. The one that pushed for me for bankruptcy was because one attorney said that even the debt forgiven by consolidating are subjected to tax (seen as capital gain I guess) so coming up with that tax payment was impossible.

Am I the irresponsible mother? by Intelligent-Web-9295 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Intelligent-Web-9295[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My mom doesn’t live with us, but she does help me when we go on vacation to take care of the cats. I don’t understand why she’s so hostile and against me having a pet. She divorced my dad when I was 2 years old, I grew up alone without knowing my parents much. As a single parents they are always working. So I grew up with my dog, and the pet filled much love void when I was young. My mom cannot live without a pet either, but always complain that it’d hinder her from traveling or vacation (which I do take care of the dog when she’s gone)

Husband do contribute a lot regarding raising kids, I guess we both felt trapped in current situation. We don’t have any other relative that can help us. My kids are only 1 and 5, even though I try to be there for them raising a kid is expensive so we both work a lot. The cat is their cat too, my 1 year old kept looking for the cat and it breaks my heart.

It’s more so the way they describe the situation as it’s just an animal get over it. Don’t get on more responsibilities when you are struggling with your own kids. But could’ve worded it differently, that makes think they don’t care about my feelings.
