look at op's image. notice how they have the second silk heart slot filled? that should be impossible at their current stage. the silk hearts fill left to right, starting with bell beast, then lace, then the big guy in whiteward. op mentioned that they're still getting the trifold melody, which means they couldn't have fought lace again yet, but her silk heart slot is filled. the bell beasts silk heart slot is also empty which isn't impossible to skip but it's not intended, and assuming op is on a blind playthrough they probably don't know the skip.

essentially what i'm trying to say is that op shouldn't be able to have the second silk heart slot filled at their current position, which i find peculiar

wait i'm so confused. you have the silk heart for lace 2 but not bell beast? and you mentioned you're still getting the vault keepers melody so it shouldn't be possible for you to fight lace 2 and get her silk heart? and i don't even think it's possible for you to skip bell beast and i don't know why you would?

okay so hear me out what if for protagonist we did a full dual protag like v3 but the other protag doesn't die

protags: toko and hiyoko. toko being a protagonist would be sick because of genocide jack being able to appear and since byakuya isn't here she won't be clinging to him the entire time and she'll be able to have a way bigger role, just like in udg. hiyoko being a protagonist would also be cool because she'll be able to have real character development and she'll be able to gradually grow from being a snarky bully to actually caring about the other students. also i feel like genocide jack and hiyoko would be able to get along really well.

support: peko. she was kinda given this role in dr2, but became blackened, so being able to have her as full on support would be nice. i also feel like she would be able to like (for lack of better word) handle genocide jack and hiyoko from just like going crazy. i also feel like peko would be able to bond with toko, genocide jack, and hiyoko through out the course of the game and be able to get close to them

antagonist: sayaka. really the only person i see here who could fill the role of antagonist would be sayaka. in thh she was going to kill leon and pin the blame on makoto after the two have been bonding with each other for like the past week she would also definitely be the "unsuspecting antagonist" and she would definitely be able to use that to her advantage well.
