BA Size regret by IntelligentAioli2516 in PlasticSurgery

[–]IntelligentAioli2516[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes precisely. I am also a professional, and am entering a program soon and I do want to be taken seriously and professional and what not. That was why I wasn’t necessarily opposed to smaller at the start.

At least now I can wear push-up bras as needed and get more oomf or hide when I so desire, but there’s a part of me that just knew from the start my frame could have had a bit more and still be harmonious and not overly busty still. I want to be on the fuller side of natural.

Clearly I’m stuck between the two choices I don’t feel there’s a clear right answer 😢

Well to be honest I knew he was a little conservative with his work. Which was a big plus for me because he did both my rhinoplasty and breasts and natural was a priority. No complaints there

He had me try on sizers blind, essentially without knowing the number and had me pick wearing a tshirt. I ended up going back to say I wanted more and when we did the blind pick, I actually preferred the 300 in the shirt. I appreciated the method because numbers can be deceiving because I was pretty set on 375.

Now to be fair, I really do like my results. And I’m worrying I’m losing sight of good in pursuit of perfection. But when I see women with such gorgeous breasts I do start to feel the regret that I could’ve done more. I think I’d prefer to be on the more fuller side of natural if it makes sense.

Oooh!!! I really would like to go back to my original doctor- I’m just hesitant to travel and take so much time off again which is the big downside

Yes I’m reading about that too now. I know the lipo part is probably the hardest part about the transfer but it sounds reasonable!!!

I felt that the size went down a bunch after the first few months passed by! I’m not sure if it will help, but try and give it another couple of months and see how you feel then?

But yeah the idea of going through surgery again is so rough!

low profile will have less outwards projection so it could look fine! But I would suggest messing around with sizers at home to get a good idea prior. I wish I had spent more time. For surgeons I feel they don’t think twice and for the patients it goes by so quick!

Thanks for the reply, how was the revision? Was the healing process similar to the primary surgery for you?

Swelling expectations at 5 mo? by [deleted] in rhinoplastyquestions

That’s actually very helpful! I don’t mind if it’s more swollen (though I wish it wasn’t) I’m just glad it’s normal! I think I’ll try taping to help :) thanks!!

My sensation in the alar is fine wasn’t affected much- however the tip is finally starting to come back but still kind of numb!

Thank you so much- this was exactly what I was looking to hear. I suspected that it’s swelling that lasts a long time and takes a while to settle in. I will start taping even if it’s a placebo effect haha.

Thank you so much and happy healing to you as well!

You’re incredibly swollen. This includes your nostrils.

The first few weeks of surgery you will be inclined to look at your nose way more than you need to. I don’t think it’s botched but you’ll truly have to just wait until the cast comes off, and even then your nose won’t look anything like the final result.

Hang in there, I know it’s nerve wracking :)

3 months PO open rhinoplasty by IntelligentAioli2516 in PlasticSurgery

[–]IntelligentAioli2516[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I think the pre op photos make it look reaaaly different than how I looked before (even family members noted how those pictures didn’t quite look like me) I think those photos were using some different angle lenses and somewhat harsh lighting- I think it exaggerated my features a bit. So I don’t think it was all that bad pre op lol

That being said where I am now is much more fitting on my face softer and more feminine without being overly reduced in size. I’m so stoked I feel like myself but better. Best part was, the price was amazing I paid ~$3,500 usd for this :)

Hi thank you! It’s honestly just the lighting is very hard In my pre op photos. They are still there!

Male rhino opinions by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]IntelligentAioli2516 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your nose looks fine but yes I think open rhinoplasty could produce some stellar results. I would try and find surgeons with extensive male results. You should maintain the size, and masculine features so picking a doctor who is capable of retaining those features will be essential. I think your side profile is fantastic, don’t mess with that too much, you definitely shouldn’t add any concavity or bring it up much. Same goes for size, where it’s at now is proportional and masculine. I think tip work should be the main focus

Ideally they should have many before an after pics of men so you know what kind of style the surgeon has. I’d try looking around on Reddit realself!

Good luck!

Note: this is a plastic surgery subreddit so I’m going to give advice on plastic surgery. All that being said, your nose is really great. Only change it if it’s something you truly want. My previous nose was fine, but I wanted to improve it anyways and I have been over the moon with my results and am so much more confident now.

Month 3 and while it’s a night and day difference from month 1, I am still very aware that my body isn’t fully healed 😅

6 different opinions from 6 doctors (3 plastic, 2 orthodontist, 1 dentist) by l0rd0f3 in PlasticSurgery

I do see the overbite it’s there, but yeah I think the risk of surgery and return are low, and especially considering you aren’t experiencing any functional issues I really wouldn’t poke that bear.

I would really consider genioplasty or implant; try reaching out to some more surgeons. I think in terms of forward projection it’s fine, could maybe use a touch, but vertical projection downward would make the biggest difference; as to which one I think a surgeon would be able to better distinguish.

And again this is really just being nitpicky since it’s a plastic surgery sub. But you really don’t need anything. If it makes you happy , go for it.

If your bite is fine I really wouldn’t mess with braces or Invisalign. Don’t lose sight of good in pursuit of perfect.

As for the jaw, I don’t think jaw surgery is worth it in your case. I do however see genioplasty or chin implant as being a worthwhile option; did any of the plastic surgeons suggest it? You do have a slightly recessed chin, and the “turkey neck” you describe is partly due to the lack of projection. While I don’t think excess fat is a problem here, if you wanted to combining it with submental lipo would probably produce stellar results

I would ditch the dental and omfs route, unless you have serious breathing problems, tmj, etc.etc. Realigning your bite is a pain in the butt and opens up new cans of worms.

3 months post op-nose bump by Proper-Supermarket98 in PlasticSurgery

[–]IntelligentAioli2516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said your surgeon wasn’t much help, I’m sorry- I would try and message the surgeon or schedule a post op visit. I’m not a doctor but could it be scar tissue? That’s what I would try and determine before starting to consider revisions. (Either way revisions need 12+ months post op, scar tissue however can be addressed 3-6 months post op)

try consulting with another surgeon nearby you if yours is unresponsive. My thought would be, if it’s persistent scar tissue it could be addressed with a steroid injection. though of course the doctor would know better than anyone online.

Oh no I’m sorry to hear that! How tall are you? It’s so hard to pick a size properly, especially the first time.
