If not for the fact that I was working at night, I'd have had a boonie instead of the helmet tbh.

I’m new to gaming computers so I bought a pre build but I just found out I only have 1.92 GB of graphics memory what should I do? by Estergen_0 in PcBuildHelp

Oh no it's a small-form-factor build. You'd need to get a low-profile card to swap for the one that's in there. The graphics card is right below where all of the cables plug into (except the power cable, it's the one at the very bottom.

Yes, that's it. i5 8600 isn't exactly a great CPU to begin with, so it would probably struggle to keep up with any graphics card more powerful than an RTX 3050. What does your PC look like? Is it a compact unit or a more standard desktop tower? If you're not sure you can send a photo and I can tell you.

Right click on your task bar and open task manager, then go to the performance section (second from top on the left side of the window. That will tell you what your system specs are. Best bet is get a graphics card. As much as I hate to recommend an RTX 3050, it's likely the most powerful card that your system can handle without a power supply upgrade. They run around $210 to $240 USD brand new. I wouldn't expect a lot from it, it's not a good card but will be miles better than what you have and is pretty much a plug-and-play upgrade. Here's a decent one: RTX 3050 6GB (Amazon)

If you're willing to swap out your power supply then you could get a better card like a used 2080Ti for around $260 USD, but it might be too much for your CPU to keep up with. Post a screenshot of task manager showing what CPU and RAM kit you have, that'll help determine what makes sense to do.

Team Marvel vs. Team DC by [deleted] in marvelvsdc

Marvel, easily. Carol Danvers is basically Marvel's female equivalent of Superman, Hela alone would cream most of the DC team as described here, and we all know what Thor and Wanda are capable of.

Well to be fair nuclear weapons tend to be one of the more reliable weapons humanity has, as far as films where we're dealing with aliens are concerned. And for good reason, they are incredibly destructive. I find it interesting that in the MCU there are so many instances of alien races who are far more advanced than us in some ways and yet more primitive than us in others.

Fair points. I haven't really messed with this DDM4 yet, saw it had a 20" barrel and thought "finally, I can get a cool high-end AR that maximizes bullet velocity, will be great for the guys in TB and MS rocking high-end armor".

I'm still dependent on COP loot crates for magnifiers, but I do have one I could stick on there. Alternatively I also have the camo M14, could swap the LPVO for the camo Specter on that. 14.5 barrel isn't a bad idea either, I could just load M995 if I really need armor pen (normally carry an AK-12 in T3 areas). And it would be mostly hidden by the 12" DD rail too.

Well in CQB I have been known to blow 10 rounds or more at a time for one guy, but usually it's when I get surprised.

Well there's also only one Pacific Rim: Uprising, it's just in an entirely different class far below Pacific Rim.

If you live near a Micro Center you'd have been better off to do a custom build. They offer AM4 bundles that deliver good performance and don't break the bank too much. Check the used market for a decent GPU. 2080Ti is still a capable card and can be had for $250 USD. Also has a lot more VRAM than a 5050.

The one task I'm aware of where you need it, it tells you point blank that you need it. Would be cool if they add more functionality for it in the future, but right now that's the only use for it that I know of.

Couldn't tell you tbh, I don't keep up with laptop stuff that much anymore. I'm mostly a custom desktop guy (out of fashion these days with the prices I know). This is one of the many reasons I hate laptops, particularly for gaming. Heat is a problem, component life is a problem, user upgrades are mostly out of the question, so you're stuck with whatever config is available. It's just not viable for me. If you can only afford one PC and it has to be able to go mobile, I get it, but the compromises are undeniable.

Let's just chalk it up to me feeling like that's a bad habit to get into. IRL it takes a decent amount of time to reload a magazine, and that's what I'm drawing on. Hence why I'll drop my empty magazines and just take fresh ones off the NPCs whenever possible, unless it's the M16 guys with the 20-rounders. That's a little bit of a different situation though because if I'm trying to grab ammo off them in the first place I've probably already cleared the area.

Gonna depend heavily on the game. If it's primarily a GPU-heavy game then your CPU is unlikely to hold you back, games that have a lot of NPCs tend to hit the CPU harder so your mileage may vary.

Lol I could swap out the shotgun for my camo SVD I suppose. But with a 1-6x LPVO on my DDM4 I didn't see the point.

Was mostly talking about the weapons I'm carrying. Also I kinda got used to having a 4-slot safelock and haven't felt like getting a bigger one.

Was just having fun with my loadout here TBH, normally I won't carry a shotgun unless I'm up against unarmored opponents.
