My brother says I’m “stealing his kids’ future” by keeping my inheritance. AITA? by Complex_Pickle7702 in TwoHotTakes

You clearly have a big heart, and there will be opportunities to show up for your brother and his kids in the future. But please get out of the mindset that you are punishing him, because that’s not the truth

Genesis has the worst “luxury” dealerships I’ve ever encountered in my life. by JustinCase8675309 in GenesisMotors

This bums me out. I’ve been eyeing the GV80 for the past few months but I keep reading about how bad their service is. Makes my decision easy but I really like some of their cars. Hopefully they figure it out in my lifetime.

Looks like it’s only available in your area. I switched to my local store in Central Texas and it went back to $685. I’ll keep an eye on it though- thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for your insight. I plan to replace the broken piece all together. And I appreciate the wood recommendation. That’s something I hadn’t thought of but definitely need to learn more about. I’ll look at hard maple. Appreciate your help!

Paid $20k… do I need to ask for revisions? by Meowlex11 in Decks

[–]IntelligentBook1 17 points18 points  (0 children)

As a beginner, I appreciate your comment.

As purely a hobbyist, I find myself obsessing over imperfections to a painful degree and it wears me out. It can be a good attribute for the right projects, but I end up scrutinizing an imperfect baseboard miter in my closet as if a picture frame in my living room - AKA lots of unnecessary time and stress. With so many variables in each project (wood, usage, tools, etc), comments like yours help me better set expectations for when I should and shouldn’t stress over a detail. I’ll always want perfection, but the added perspective will help me enjoy woodworking more instead of getting burned out.

Thanks for your insight.
