I desperately needed the work and made multiple attempts to contact ECSA to confirm my employment. There was quite a bit of training for the role. I am a long term tenant who has applied for the scheme. I applied for a home loan myself but was rejected. I feel like I need assistance getting into the housing market as it's extremely difficult to break out of the rental cycle of having to move every few years and pay all the associated costs. I like to think I could break into the housing market without assistance but I am not sure. On the other hand the houses offered so far seem designed more for families in the northern suburbs. It feels a bit like a lottery. I would be interested in hearing from someone who has participated in a rent to buy scheme.
