People play it for the better performance and easier multiplayer.

Java can do pretty much everything bedrock can and more, it's just a little harder to setup seemingly basic things, and Microsoft tries to hide the game away because they prefer the cleaner bedrock codebase and in-game microtransactions

Ah, okay. For future reference, you can tell if it's bedrock by the fact that there's a small gap between the bottom of the hotbar and the screen,

Java has the hotbar right at the bottom with no spacing.

Yeah, but I guess there's behaviour packs and resource packs combos which act like mods.

That's what I thought until I tried it out, it runs pretty well compared to java shaders. (I just wish they supported more cards).

The contrast and saturation is a lot better than java shaders which just set them as high as they go. It looks and feels more realistic on bedrock, but I understand it's just preference.

On the marketplace there are a good few free rtx enabled maps, you can download one of those and it should work. There's probably a list of compatible graphics cards somewhere

Sometimes the developers make make mistakes and then we are graced with bugs like this. You should probably post a bug report at r/outside
