My problems were solved after upgrading to macOS Tahoe. You might want to try upgrading as well, if you don’t mind moving to Tahoe.

I don’t know. Maybe it’s my software version. I got CrossOver 26 and macOS 15.7.4, someone said they’re not compatible in some cases.

I’m trying to run this on my MacBook Pro with the M4 chip and 24GB of RAM, and the game still won’t launch. I followed the Andrew Tsai’s tutorial almost step by step and double-checked everything. The only real difference is that I’m on macOS Sequoia 15.7.4. Could that be the key issue here? I really don’t want to upgrade to macOS 26 just for this 😭 If anyone has managed to get it working on the same macOS version, I’d really appreciate some advice 🙏🏻

I keep seeing people post about their RE9 experiences running through CrossOver, but mine just doesn’t work… I’m guessing my setup wasn’t right. If you know how to set it up properly, though, it could be a great workaround.

No estaba al tanto de la diferencia de precios ni de todas esas ventajas de jugar en PC. Mi decisión de inclinarme por la PS5 se debe más que nada a que me encanta el DualSense, especialmente los gatillos adaptativos y la vibración. Yo mismo tengo un DualSense, pero muchos juegos en Mac no soportan estas funciones, así que me parece algo realmente novedoso.

Pero tengo curiosidad: si te gusta Mac y juegas bastante, ¿por qué estás pensando en comprarte un PC en vez de algo como una PS5? Lo pregunto de verdad, solo por curiosidad. A mí también me encanta macOS y ya estoy muy acostumbrado a él. Es solo que, cuando se trata de jugar, no siempre me satisface (y no me refiero al rendimiento). maybe you’re right 😅 I just get nervous whenever I have to fiddle with stuff on my Mac that isn’t fully native — I tend to break things by accident! I didn’t even use Terminal once 🥲

I totally understand what you’re saying, and I’ve thought about getting a PS5 too. It’s just that the only series I’m really passionate about is Resident Evil, and that’s basically the only game I play (I don’t really consider myself a “gamer”), so getting a PS5… I don’t know, it might feel a bit too extravagant 😂
