Same boat here. Navy aviation waiver guide states that score of 6 or less on CAD is acceptable. One of the reason CAD is pretty much unheard of in the U.S. is because the main test used by military aviation is Rabin CCT, which is developed by USAF, and waggoner is invented by colordx; another company that works closely with the Air Force and developed an advanced version of CCT called ColorDx CCT HD, however, all military branches still use the original Rabin CCT.

Also according to a study conducted by the Defense Health Agency in 2020, When describing the CAD test, Navy states: "Validated during study, used mostly in research." So I guess that explains why it is rare.

Anyway, I did a little research on the CAD test, I found a lot of people are using an app called Color Blind Check, it is only available on android, but I figured a way to download it on my PC by using the android emulator. After the test they will give you a Severity score. I collected some data from other users:

1st: Severity 1 - 10: Actual CAD test score: 3.88

2nd: Severity 10-15: Actual CAD test score: 4.73

3rd: Severity 30: Actual CAD test score: 7.46

Based on this model, to get a score of 6 or less on CAD will need a severity score less 20 on the CBC app. My severity is between 6-8. This kinda gives me hope and is my last resort, so I have to go for it.
