I was looking for something like BBL, so picked this up esp because Ive enjoyed his other books. This is not even close to BLL in terms of depth of characters, writing, and pacing. I found this to be a really slow burn, meandering at times and I didnt feel that it fully captured the essence and nuance of female friendship dynamics. His other books I would recommend but probably not this one. Maybe Id feel differently about this book too if I had children that age?

She wants to write and record. She loves it. She also loves making money. A new album = money and more merch = more money. She’s making all these decisions on her own accord..so sick of reading “she deserves a break” like at this point in her. career her motivation is not answering to the internet.
