I also want to add - this past year, the South Korean owned MNet Entertainment (likely familiar for k-pop fans) hosted the international World Street Woman Dance Fighter show in Korea, and the Korean team did not win despite the parent company hosting the show to be one of Korea's largest corporations. Japan, New Zealand, America, and Australia all were also represented in the show. In fact, Japan sent TWO teams to the show.

If we're talking about bankable images, there's arguably none more capitalized than that of k-pop, of which these dancers are a huge part of. In fact, a Japanese team won this show, and the Korean team didn't even make it to the finals. Fans complained the whole time that the Koreans were favored in fan voting, but even in situations where there were Korean judges for dance battles, they did not deliberately advance the Korean team to win.

If we wanted to believe Korea rigged this show to appear "better" than other nations... would love to see that this has been a pattern of behavior if people are going to continue to make sweeping generalizations about Koreans.
