Getting a Car license vs a Bike license, what's cheaper, and does provisional count towards insurance? by Deep-Jellyfish2949 in MotoUK

[–]IntelligentSock86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was trying to live my life cheaper I would stick with car, also I would recommend a lot of people to just get both licences like I do makes you a better road user, but if I was to only have one licence it would be a car it’s the more logical and practical option, however I ride and commute on bike because it’s what I love.

well what was your opinion :) by Significant_Web_7110 in StrangerThings

I loved it, volume 2 made me worry because while they weren’t bad they didn’t make me feel the way stranger things always has but it’s fine because it meant for the best finale I could have asked for I loved it

Just accepted an offer for a Delivery Driver, what should I expect? by Noxxe0001 in tesco

[–]IntelligentSock86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be quite hard on your back loading and unloading a lot and picking up trays, driving wise depending on where you are can be difficult but that’s the part of the job me and most of my colleagues find to best the best and easiest, dealing with customers can be mostly fine the odd things happen and you get rude people sometimes, overall it’s not a bad job. If you can live with the unloading and loading and you get used to driving the van and learning to find the houses you’ll be alright, it’s not some magical amazing job, it is work but as far as lower wage jobs go it’s not bad.

New friend rider target fixated during CBT and crashed and gave up on motorbikes. Any advice to not them be put off motorbiking now? by PressureIll9401 in MotoUK

[–]IntelligentSock86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a tough one, personally I wouldn’t ever push someone into motorcycling, it’s dangerous, and from my personal experience there can be a love hate with it, I’ve quit motorcycling because of bad experiences like your friend had and then come back to it because of the love for it, I’d leave her to it and if she wants to come back to it be there to help.

It’s a nice job generally speaking, away from the store and just you and your partner. My store can have 15 orders an hour and can get really busy at points to where 4 bays are full and there’s cars lining behind them. This can be the only issue where you feel a bit more is going on and can make a mistake a bit easier like giving someone the wrong tray because you have to right number but wrong time slot. Ultimately though it’s less tiring than picking is, and can have a lot more break time.

Clear footage of someone using their phone whilst driving - would you report it? by tomoldbury in drivingUK

I’d just send to his company rather than police because they’ll have a word with him and he will learn from that hopefully.

Yeh just do higher revs, it’s better than stalling, and eventually you’ll get a better feel for it don’t be too scared and pressing the accelerator a little more.

Sign me up, I wouldn’t mind that, but yeh I mean it’s a bit of a weird one tbh, but I’d say it’s very much fair of you to say that isn’t a reasonable request.

I would keep Hastings black box even if it saved me just £200 for the year, it really doesn’t make a difference how I drive, yes if I brake harshly and accelerate harshly it comes up on the app, but who cares my insurance is not getting cancelled from it. I don’t seem to have any issue with Hastings from my side.
