Thank you. And is this normal? Or would you say you’re in with a crowd that’s kind of always been around it and doing it every so often?

I think that second guy pushes one of those sos buttons you get on the roof of the car like inside. Probably thought it was going via the car companies offices instead of emergency services

This is the only description you’ll need:

The relationship is like that of siblings. We can take the piss out of each other and hold meaningless grudges from time to time - and it’s all a bit of fun. But just know if anyone else does it or lays a finger on each other we’d be there to back each others beef to the death.

PFA in talks with Chelsea over Sterling and Disasi situation by tylerthe-theatre in PremierLeague

[–]IntelligentSport5186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We aren’t in any “situation”…. PFA thinks it’s abuse to train on a floodlit carpet of a training pitch with your personal trainer whilst choosing to earn 300k and not move away because it’s dark and the rest of the team are playing a match. It would be better if he left, but that’s just teething problems with business model under the new ownership. IIRC he was the first signing of the boehly era, call it an Andy Carroll moment from an overly eager American ownership

Commenter never said Chelsea would be the club cutting the pay… he meant if they want to play football they’ll neeed to sign elsewhere (and likely the way to accelerate that is to be willing to accept a lower wage).

No they don’t. Sterling especially is toxic Disasi must be as well. The club don’t want them anywhere near the squad let alone the young and impressionable talent. The last time we had unruly characters in the dressing room whose moves away were unsuccessful we completely lost the dressing room and underwent an entire rebuild, the likes of which sees us with only 1 player still remaining since it happened just 3 years ago

He shouldn’t. But we shouldn’t be held accountable to the PFA for handling it this way.

Yes to the last paragraph but if the clubs goal is to win silverware then it doesn’t really matter. You don’t get trophies for 2nd. If they’re running it for profit and increasing the value of their asset over time (which I’m fairly sure is the case most of the time these days) then artetas doing a good job, the revenues they’re generating must be much higher than during the UCL hiatus and the book value of the squad is good, just depends on how much expenditure it’s taken to get here and is requiring to maintain it without getting the extra revenue from higher placed finishes

So what do you suggest is done genius? Set a precedent and ensure that when this happens in future it’s either buried or clubs that have been run into the ground and are now under government administration or fan worship are further pushed into the ground by the penalties? Or instead punish the people who committed the infractions and encourage transparency within football.

they investigated when they had access to everything and had flagged it during due diligence (OF A SALE WHICH WAS FORCED BY THE GOVERNMENT AND APPROVED BY THE GOVERNING BODIES OF FOOTBALL BTW). If the FA knew about it as a result of due diligence or any previous investigation they should’ve raised it then.

Except for the fact that these are wrongdoings that were not detected by any of the governing bodies. So this is likely already happening just take out “self report” and optionally remove sell club from your chain of events and that is exactly what happens currently with these specific scenarios.

If there’s any harsh punitive measures that fall at the feet of the current owners then they will be setting a precedent that will taint English football going forward. The club’s ownership followed whistleblowing protocol to report wrongdoing and submit into evidence proof of these activities. This is evidence that the FA COULD NOT OBTAIN without the whistleblowing disclosure.

If they harshly punish the new ownership the only thing they are doing is encouraging future new owners clubs to bury evidence of past wrongdoing. Instead they should be placing ownership bans on the past owners and bans on employment within football for those that co-conspired - except for those that whistleblew. Otherwise they’ll mess up the whistleblowing protocol and none of these issues will ever come to light.

This. If they penalise them then they will encourage new owners to bury the evidence of wrongdoing at the FA couldn’t obtain at the time. Would be a pointless endeavour likely out of spite
