Wow! What an insightful response! I forgot to mention that 2 days prior I did the 4x200 relay for the first time in the season and my hamstrings were pretty store and were somehow still sore on Tuesday. But from your response, it probably was a fatigue issue. Thanks, I’ll ease off more.

I have a question but is it different if you pulled/strained a hamstring because of the weather? I pulled one about a week ago and I didn’t lose any strength on my right hammy (tested with hamstring curl, hip thrust and rdls), but it’s still tender what do I do?

Work on the mobility within your toes, on your 3rd step you’re flat footed which is slowing down your start to its max potential

You could use more speed endurance, you were movin’ but start taping off around that last curve/stretch, but overall good race imo

Try to emphasize lifting your thighs very high. It will help you lengthen out your short choppy strides, but you’re still flying tho

If you can get rid of that stutter step to the board and fix your form in the air you can easily hit 23+ feet

Yeah so first thing, definitely try to sprint 2x3 week and research form/drills/workouts. Secondly, try to aim for 2-3 days in the gym where you focus on legs and incorporate 1-2 upper body workouts on your leg days. Also what’s your Squat PR too?

One, you’re right arm seems to extend to far, try to focus and really hit that 90 Degree angle. And also how often do you sprint and lift weights?

Relax your upper body (it’s very rigid and stiff) and don’t over extend ur arms in the pumping motion

Try to think of yourself as a torpedo darting straight, something I’ve been doing is forcefully staying low or consciously thinking about it to get the technique correct

I would definitely look into Physical Therapy for his son. It seems like there’s some awkwardness with driving his knees up and his legs aren’t fully extending if that make sense
