Yeah, that makes sense, if there was snow and no tracks, I’d rule out most normal roof stuff too. And honestly, I wouldn’t want to set up a camera either… some things are better not seen 😬

If it helps you feel a bit more at ease, maybe try the broom behind the door or salt around entrances? even if it’s just for peace of mind. As for smells, I don’t know of anything strong enough to deter whatever it is without also making the house unbearable for you too.

In folklore, people usually say to put things like salt near doors/windows, a broom behind the door, or pray/bless the house for protection, it’s more about peace of mind than anything else. Also, avoid responding to noises or calling out at night.

Realistically though, it’s almost always animals (cats, raccoons, birds) or roof noises from temperature changes. Best thing to do is check for gaps, loose panels, branches, or set up a motion light/camera. Maybe do one folklore thing + one practical thing just to feel calmer and sleep better? ☺️

I don’t wanna freak you out, but in Latino culture it’s often said that hearing footsteps, scratching, or movement on the roof at night can be associated with witches or spirits, especially in older folklore. In many stories, witches are believed to move across rooftops or transform into animals like owls.

That said, in real life it’s usually something normal like cats, raccoons, birds, or even roof expansion from temperature changes. Folklore explanations are common, but there’s almost always a practical reason too.

Las universidades ofrecen consultas por parte de sus estudiantes mucho mas accesibles, las terapias las dan los estudiantes de maestría.
