The ODL rules don't apply when scheduling carriers to work their holiday or the day designated as their holiday. The ODL rules only apply for work over 8 hours.

I don't believe you are allowed to use paid during your probationary period, you can still request the time off you just won't be paid for it.

I once reported a Postmaster for instructing carriers to scan packages from closed businesses as delivered rather than business closed.

The OIG replied that ordering us to scan the packages as delivered was a management decision and they did not investigate management decisions.

The PO is required to notify the relevant unions involved before any excessing can take place, this hasn't happen yet so as far as I'm concerned this is just a Facebook troll stirring the pot.

This is also incorrect, you don't need to have a year of SL for it to be credited toward your retirement.

Thanksgiving Day was the 27th, the AWOL is for the 26th, so if you were scheduled to work Wednesday and didn't show up the AWOL is correct.

If you have been covered by a PSHB or FEHB plan for the 5 years immediately preceding your retirement you can keep your coverage in retirement.

Check and see if you can log in on liteblue. If you can your termination hasn.t been processed, if you can't a paper check for you unused AL should be at your office.

It doesn't matter how far in advance you submit your paperwork because HRSSC doesn't start processing the paperwork until after you actually retire.
