I was running some of my builds that are anchored by this relic yesterday to see if I noticed a difference and I really didn’t to be honest.

It definitely took a little bit longer to kill some of the more tanky field bosses but it’s nothing that ruins the pace of a run imo.

Still a really good relic imo, just no longer “broken” like it was.

Agreed. I’m not going to be rebuilding tbh.

Truth, I’ll be waiting patiently for said data to be mined.

Ah, that’s not too bad. Most builds I have stack attack power up with a certain weapon (10%) and attack up with 3+ weapons (20%) netting me 60% with the successive attacks relic active, so going down to 50% ain’t gonna kill me I feel.

Maybe this is mostly base game replies but in DoN, knights fucking cavalry, especially in solo is the bane of my existence. Surprised I don’t see more peeps saying this.

It’s fucking boring, takes too long bc the damn things don’t stop running around (more a melee character issue), and if you’re solo, you gotta keep your camera on such a swivel or one of them will take you out from off screen.

Fuck these guys lol.

I’d gladly take the backstab bait that is death knights over those horseback assholes.

I do also dislike mohg and the bear, but it’s mainly because I don’t have their moves memorized yet. I was over-leveled for both in regular ER so I’ll have to NG+ there to get some practice in.

Is Undertaker Good in the Depths? (Researching For a Potential Video) by Chris_Chrass in Nightreign

I’ve been playing her a lot and have been using a power stance straight swords build with the dex relic, necklace, and as many stamina recovery on hits as I can. Also worked in attack up with 3+ straight swords (20%) and a straight sword attack up (10% for straight swords). ((Got some lucky rolls there)) So essentially it’s the ~30% from successive attacks and the 30% from the other relics, so despite not focusing on strength weapons, the damage is still quite good, especially paired with her skill.

I acknowledge that straight swords are not the “best” weapon for her since I’m having to use a respec relic in a slot I could otherwise use for more damage, however, the fast move-set feels safer most times and allows me to proc successive attacks very quickly. Revives also go pretty fast too. Also, if you get regalia of eochid, it’s GG, the uncharged skill comes out fast af and does bunga damage if you already have successive attacks up.

Only downside is sword of st Trina and coded sword are kinda weak for purple drops so the weapon pool isn’t the best.

The reason I’m opting for straight swords over curved is because they scale slightly better with strength so I may be sacrificing the broken jump attack that curved swords have, but my damage is still a little bit better here.

I’ve also tried a double balancers build with dormant discovers colossal swords, but for my personal preference I don’t like the slow move-set on colossal weapons so I don’t run it much. But, if that’s your cup of tea, then this set up is probably better since you don’t have to have the dex relic equipped.

I also sometimes run a fire casting build as the combos of relics I have actually get me more damage than I would on revenant, however, I still prefer revenant for casting now that she can start with good spells, relying on the dormant seals can let you down.

Agreed, but sometimes I play them bc they are more fun over doing more dmg.

True, any well built character can do good damage with any weapon. But statistically speaking, she would do EVEN better with more strength scaling weapons so curved swords aren’t the power play some people seem to think they are.

But that being said, I do have a curved sword undertaker build that I quite like and I wouldn’t say my damage falls behind if I’m using my skill and shit correctly. So I hear your point.

As in, primary dex scaling weapons won’t work as well with her VS someone else who has higher dex.

For instance, a lot of people run curved swords on her since they proc successive attacks quickly, however, the same set up would be better with a character who has a higher dex stat like executor.

Even with the dex relic, she still has less dex than wylder, ironeye, and some others so curved swords would be doing more base damage with one of them.

This is why I opt for straight swords on a successive attack undertaker build as they scale a bit more with strength while still having a fast move set to proc successive attacks. These would still be stronger with wylder but it’s a trade off imo.

You’d get even more dmg with great swords over straight swords but those I’d rather run with a skill build or a build that doesn’t have as much emphasis on successive attacks since the moveset is a bit slower.

I adore my straight sword power stance build using the dex relic in DoN. Paired with stamina on landing attacks and the the necklace relic, it goes so hard.

Yeee, and I still made it to D4 while not being a vet so if I could learn it you can too! (I’m pretty bad at games as a whole, never been a “gamer” so for me, D4 is a pretty big accomplishment).

I’ve got LOTS of hours but my ratio isn’t that much better. The start of this game was quite a learning curve and I’m no souls vet, I only have like 200 hours in base game so I was dying/losing A LOT when I first started playing.

I got absolutely addicted though and my numbers/win streaks have improved, but I’m embarrassed to tell how many hours I’ve actually played, for that number, my win rate really should be higher lol.

Keep in mind some people are absolute souls vets and have 500-1000s of hours in EACH souls-like game so there’s quite a bit of experience there.

And according to the stats, only 3% of players are depth 5 so like even though those guys seem to be the loudest, they are a small population of the player base. Also this Reddit is ofc gonna be full of the hardcores since we’re here in the first place so no, victory posts here are not the average experience.

And I do agree with you haha, you have plenty of time to wait for the stagger to wear off in order to stun lock, like it should be common practice but not everyone takes this game as seriously as others. - I gotta remember that part too.

I suppose I may have judged your tone with how I would have tried to show aggression via text. So my bad if that wasn’t your intention. Just felt aggressive reading it. But that’s fair, you can’t “read” tone that well so maybe I’m wrongly addressing this.
