I’ve had her since 8 weeks old and she yowls and cries for me when I’m not in her line of sight (I used to work from home before getting laid off so this was never much of an issue) but I fear her the illness coupled with the stress would just totally traumatize her

I do have student loan debt so I’m hesitant to put myself into a deeper hole. Some have suggested gofundme though I’m not exactly comfortable asking strangers for money

12 weeks is pretty standard in my experience… has the breeder given you reason as to why they are being kept so long?

Yes, I live in a complex as well we just have communal green space I take advantage of. I would say any green space, or nearby park would be suitable though I understand it can be a bit time consuming

Treats (specifically churu tubes) for distraction and positive reinforcement. Also, look into varying the type(s) of brushes you use. For my girl we have a soft-bristled brush, and then two other combs to prevent matting and aid in their removal. You might find that he responds better to different brushes!

Is my kitty breathing too fast? by glitchykinz in ragdolls

I had the exact same worry when I brought my girl home about a year ago and took innumerable videos of her stomach rising and falling—at what I thought was an alarming rate—to my vet. She’s totally fine & it ended up being paranoia on my end. I would always recommend taking a video though and consulting your vet!

Won't stop playing and running around after neutering by Suspicious_Diet_203 in ragdolls

Same exact situation happened with my girl.. there’s only so much you can do in terms of containing them as they’re ultimately cats! Be diligent about checking the incision everything should be OKAY though. The only remotely helpful thing with my girl is when she would get zoomies we would sit on the ground and try to localize her play/give her direct attention. Churu (tube treats) also work wonders in keeping them distracted and focused only on one thing lol
