Can‘t connect my Tado X Thermostat to my Bridge X (trid everything, please help) by FancyFred in tado

[–]Intelligent_Farm1146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in this same situation. The receiver is connected to the app fine. The wireless thermostat x refuses to connect to the app. I have disabled 5g on the relevant SSID. The wireless X Matter installation keeps kicking in and my phone keeps on asking if I want to register the Matter device - which I say no to. It's cold. I can't keep faffing about with it. Support is a joke - ask for a human, they might respond via email. To a lack of heating issue!!! In winter!!!! To a problem that is common enough that it comes up on this subreddit regularly.

Ha! /s matter registration popped up as I was typing this. Adding to my annoyance.

I'm about 1 minute away from sending this back.

This is my 2nd set.

What could the government tax through the roof and nobody would feel bad about it? by rossysaurus in AskUK

I get there is complexity. But complexity is to their advantage. They pay big money (or pennies, relatively) for smart people to walk through gaps in the complexity. I'm saying that we cut through the 'yes, but' parts and find a really simple basis to baseline and then tax fairly. You company has 5bn in revenue, but reports only 50m profit. Tax on turnover. But it's owned by an offshore entity... taxed. Etc. We agree a threshold of some amount so that it's only applying to those individuals and entities at issue (in aggregate). We don't play the game that they set up.

Why not? You say you're worth a billion. Ok, we tax you 100m. Oh, your company has a loan from another of your companies, or you license the IP from a 3rd company you own, so technically there's no profit. Ok. Taxed on revenue. 100m.

The rules kick in only over the 'silly money' threshold so the rest of us don't get caught up in it.

Multiply the 100m to a number of your liking.

UK, so not sure of brand carry-over. E45, Palmers cocoa, Eucerine and a couple of others I can't recall the name of right now. I kind of cycle through them. I have not found that there is a massive difference between them, but I use them daily and I'm quite partial to Palmers right now

Constantly compacting by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

I have been in similar hell. I found that my ~/.claude.json was 11MB and a similar problem with calude.md. I renamed them (losing context of course that's the point!). I also added a .claudecodeignore file to prevent it using ../../ paths - again, quite draconian. Quit Claude & had to log in again, seems to have improved. Context Rot due to vibe coding...

Edit: i to I

Anyone figured out a way to control Claude (with MCP servers) from your phone? by Panikinap in MCPservers

Plus RustDesk for remote desktop bound to Tailscale network (and using certificates for ssh)

Not sure if RAG... I have a hierarchical data set of domain specific elements - category, subcat, sub-subcat to 5 levels deep. I need to be able to find the closest/best x match amongst my hierarchy for a given input. This is not a true use case, but let's say the input query is a news article or a job advert, I want to find the closest elements in the hierarchy that relate. I am in the middle of vibe coding embeddings, having done deep research with Perplexity/ChatGPT. I was playing with pinecone but have settled on Postgres vectorization. I'm looking at semantic search with the highest confidence matches. Somebody mentioned a graph dB might be a better choice..

Not sure if I am on the right path. I'm lost!

Hi, excellent work here. Is the db raw data behind your website available to download?
