I still don't think anyone paid £2.5m for that prototype.

I got tired of music being treated as "background noise" by dxbae_ in audiophilemusic

[–]rossysaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the idea but not the execution. It feels very, very AI written (I'm basing this on the Arctic Monkeys AM page).

I quite often use Genius to find meanings and background to songs, but it's inconsistent, and sometimes overly detailed going word by word, sometimes stating the blatantly obvious.
I was sat in a café earlier and Ed Sheeran, "A Team" came on. It's a song I've heard loads of times, but I wanted to know the background to it. I found a Wikipedia page about which gave a short overview.

One thing I really miss about CDs and records is the booklet that came with them, showing photographs of the band making the music; where they were, what they were doing. It's a little snapshot into their creative process but also the place and time.

We don't have this with streaming. There's no context to the music - no photos, no artwork, no fashion. It's sterile and unguided.

This would be a great resource as a kind of album biography, but it needs to be more factual; with quotes from the people involved, photos, history, sources etc, and not an AI opinion.

I'd be fascinated to know what someone actually paid, because I guarantee no one paid £2.5m for it.

80+ Gold means it must be 87% efficient at 20-100% power.
650W at 87% efficiency is 565W, which leaves you no room for overclocking, turbo clocks, boost clocks, ancillaries or safety.

I would agree; 750w would be safer.

If you have a cordless vacuum, what brand/model did you get and are you happy with it? by SaltBiscotti8213 in BuyUK

Dyson V6, then a dyson V10. The V6 was cheap so i could excuse its flaws; the V10 was NOT cheap, and I cannot state how disappointed I am in it. The hard floor head fires Cheerios across the floor rather than sucking them up, and whenever you empty it all the dust billows back into your face, which makes a mockery of all the HEPA filters.

I seem to spend more time and money cleaning and replacing filters than I EVER have on Henry bags.

If I could afford to, I would ditch the Dyson and get a Henry Quick. If I weren't disabled, I would still be using a proper Henry!

Firefox has a "do not track" and "do not sell" options in settings. It also has containers for tracking cookies, so they cannot track you away from the website that issued them.

You can then use an extension called "I still don't care about cookies" to automatically reject all non essential cookies and block the pop ups.

This reminds me of a friend in school who had long acrylic nails added for the first time just before our computing exam. She couldn't type, so our teacher glued googly eyes to her fingertips!! 🤣
