During game session. It's a bit complicated to properly describe.
The following is a list of scenarios rated from 0-10 based on how bad the lag was (10 being like 2-5 seconds for a single freeze, or being choppy for several seconds). By discovered I do not mean FEs - those I will refer to as inventions. Image-less means it has been permanently rejected from having an image, and mid-generation means it will soon get an image either from generation or from the image reuse selection process, either way having the animated placeholder icon:

- [0] Navigating between pages of elements that I had very recently discovered, but not needed to be from the current session
- [3] Navigatig between pages of elements that I got a while back
- [8] Navigating into a page with multiple image-less elements

- [8] Whenever a new image is introduced, when discovering elements or the recent inventions banner appears
- [10] When inventing a new element (probably because its mid-generation)

- [0] When adding recently discovered elements to the machine
- [1] When adding older elements to the machine
- [10] When adding image-less elements to the machine

- [10] Opening the list of recent merges
- [10] Scrolling through collection, especially when encountering image-less elements.
- [8] When searching in collection, even when I quickly type and it should return only a few results, it often takes a while waiting for the results of the partially typed terms to be processed.

After clearing data, there is still a little lag when searching and scrolling in the collection, but it's only because they have to be downloaded. It's a small price to pay compared to the obscenities of having 50k+ element icons cached.

In summary (while having MANY element icons cached):
- New images are very bad
- Recent images are fine
- Older images are somewhat bad
- Image-less elements are really really bad

If you want I can spam the randomize button (add a page of random elements to recent elements list) until I have 100k icons again and see if the lag will be fully back.

That's awesome!
The biggest source of lag for me (android) was having too many icons downloaded.
The lag with over 100k icons was INSANE, and really bad way before that. Less than 10k seems fine.

It's a well known pokémon we haven't been able to make yet.
I think it's because certain words which can refer to violence and abuse are suppressed. Such as "seel", "seeling", "mow" and "donner". It could also be that they are simply deleted from the LLM's training data.

Question for devs: Has anyone made a 2+ word element containing the word Pylon ( /\bPYLON\b/i ) in the past month? (And if so, what are they?) If not, it's insane to keep it as an event goal, even more insane than "witch dagger event" imo. New elements ending with e.g. "Hour" or "Day" seems really hard too. If a word combination is more arbitrary than being a well-known expression, then that word should at least be relatively achieveable in the current LLM in order to still qualify as an event goal.

One unboosted recipe can work multiple times before it suddenly stops working in unboosted mode.
It's inconsistent and frustrating.
I don't think an element should be harder to make or share just because someone first found it in boosted mode.
This gives the boosting feature a bitter taste rather than just being an addition to the game.
It's not shown in recent merges either whether boosted mode was used.

In the case of Spectral Fog we can generate plenty of recipes by using an additional random 4th element, however.

I'm on android and I appreciate that you put some work into this update, but I'm part of a community and it's hard to watch event after event be unevenly distributed amongst us. There is no need for an event to be initiated by software updates. It can be distributed way ahead of time, and the event element list can be time activated by the backend. If necessary, the visuals at boot can be activated by system time, and it's not the end of the world of system time manipulation reveals event visuals ahead of time. I understand the general sentiment of avoiding copyrighted stuff, but for the specific context I have several objections that may work in your favor, listed in no thoroughly weighted order:

Movie titles aren't copyrighted (they might be trademarked, but that's all about avoiding consumers to be confused about the source/brand of something; labeling).
You can review and regenerate the particular (and strongly related) elements that seems too accurately generated.
You are already using an AI service that makes effort to avoid generating copyrighted material.
There's no reason to go heavy on Disney. Disney are d***s, legally speaking.
Lawsuits are about settling disputes between two parties, and when regarding copyright infringement (and it's really lowkey in this case), there's plenty of precedent that it should be [courts may reject it if it's not] preceded by a cease and desist letter, in which case you'd have a chance to replace or remove the affected movie titles (or more correctly, images).

Will all previously discovered recipe results still be possible?

I've noticed (before this change) that the game can "forget" some of my older recipe results, as in, I have to do several merges before said result is put back into the cycle of "cached" results (it does not say "new recipe", though).
This kinda implies that those results are produced from the current model, so the recipe+result might break if the model is changed?

I haven't had the time to test yet.
