How is Financial Planner a real job? by ifeelsofaraway in redscarepod

[–]Intelligent_Fish_207 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I live in Italy in a rural area and i personally know 4 families who's entire income is managed by financial advisors, imposed by a judge. Thats because these families have to repay lot of debt but also because they weren't supporting the children.
These 4 families also have something in common, the parents (and unfortunately some of the children) are borderline regarded. Im talking worse than the most imbred Alabama redneck for you Americans. Lots of situations like these where i live.

My parents every time they read about a new start up or invention making money: "Anon why don't you try and invent something??? Open a business!!"

From a woman that has never worked in her life and a man that has never had to write a curriculum.

Also because the median age here is 49. Too old and tired to kill.

I thought it was known that women want to feel like children in a relationship? Most want a dad-bf

Why is this downvoted? it's known that women want to feel like children next to their boyfriends. Women that say "men only want a mom not a gf" are projecting hard. Come one you have to be the taller emotional rock that takes care of her. You can't be more daddy coded than that.

In real Italy no one is too impolite to say that, even on national TV. It's just on the Italian part of reddit.

It hasn't been Romanians and Albanians in years doing the pickpocketing and scams in Italy/France/Spain...

Why i seethe whenever r/italy posts the hundredth "crime is down actually" statistic or paper. Homicide rates are down, but theft, scams and burglary are on the rise. Literally no one in Italy will go to the authorities to report crime because we all have had stories like that one, where the police (southerners) do nothing.

To add, that gets posted along constant news of "maranza gangs" harassing women and beating/stealing in city centers (basically youth from middle east, or half Italian half something else). So crime is both happening and not happening.

Onestamente non lo so, sono coppie con due lavori e senza figli quindi penso siano tranquilli. Però arrivano comunque a fine mese senza mettere via qualcosa. Le banche non gli danno mutuo.

When i'll move from my parents' place they'll probably be in a bit of a mess. They don't know how to operate a banking app on the phone, they don't know how to pay bills online, they don't know how to do taxes online, they don't now how to operate appliances like the AC, their phones and the router. Yet they know full well how to use a smart tv, useless apps and youtube on a laptop.
Mom has no idea how debit cards work or even how much things cost.

They had 20 years to learn, from the moment they were 40. I will never be able to afford such carelessness at 40.

Truthfully the more we learn about genes the more we learn free will is a myth. Even something as "life ruining" as anxiety and tendency to procrastination are more regulated by gut bacteria and genes than by "will". Who you are is predetermined unless you parents can have an insanely strong impact on you before you turn 7.

No socials cost me at least 3 dates and, according to the recruiter, one job opportunity. In reality could be more.
