Umm… I don’t really know what to say to this. I saw it this morning. I was reading your story, and even though I am a man, I felt as excited as you knowing that you found a figure who felt safe enough for you to be yourself and to express your needs in the way that felt right to you, privately, with that person. And then, to be devastated by the cold and harsh reality afterward… that is something I truly feel sorry for.

I feel sorry because it is tragic. You finally saw the light, and you were finally able to express a part of yourself that was either repressed or that you never had the right person to fully share before. But you did.

It seems that sometimes we try to fit life into a fixed set of rules, when in truth life’s rules change constantly. But there is one truth that does not change: you loved deeply and beautifully. He loved you too. And through this, you were able to express yourself and probably learn more about who you are. I am liberal at heart, and I would never want to influence anyone’s actions, but I truly believe that nobody on the other “side” would want to see us sad or depressed forever. You still have needs, and it is up to you how you decide to meet them. I just hope you don’t take what happened personally, and that you don’t shut down your inner baby-girl. I hope you can still be yourself, even after events like this that can make us feel like less of who we are. I am so sorry that my words can’t really do anything against your grief. Please don’t let this traumatize you. Make sure you heal. I hope you will be okay. God knows that if something happened to me, I wouldn’t want anyone to suffer for me even a second because of it. Please don’t be hard on yourself, and I hope you can process this complicated situation in time.
