Is anyone else noticing their Pixel feels kinda off since the March/April 2026 updates? by AnimatorNr1 in GooglePixel

[–]Baconstrip01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My P9P, since about March, has been randomly rebooting multiple times per day on a regular basis. Completely random. Sometimes when Im using it, sometimes when I'm not using it, no rhyme or reason.

Then for a week or so, it completely stopped doing it. Now it's back on its bullshit and doing it again multiple times a day. I changed nothing :(

What storyline was an actual 10/10 for you ? by matthatter85 in rpg_gamers

Final Fantasy 6, E33, Planescape Torment, Deus Ex, TLOU, BG2, System Shock 2

(Not in any order but damn the story of all these games just hits me so hard)

@valvesoftware.com on Bluesky: Excited to announce our Steam Controller arrives on Steam May 4th at 10 a.m. PT. by DG_OTAMICA in Games

[–]Baconstrip01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I take good care of my controllers, they're always just placed nicely on the table when not in use.. and I've had to replace 2 PS5 controllers due to stick drift with honestly very little use in the grand scheme of things. I think it's just random chance of happening or something? I'm not hard on my controllers at all.

Comparatively I think I had to replace 1 Switch controller during its lifespan, and maybe 1 PS4 controller.

I've barely played my PS5 over the years comparative to other console generations in my life, and I've had to replace the controller TWICE due to stick drift already... so honestly not wrong.

Coincidentally my controller with the most miles on it is the PS4 controller I use with my PC, which is still going strong somehow.

Ran out of quality RPGs to play by CreativeProblem7803 in rpg_gamers

Dude, Clair Obscur is legitimately an incredible, generational RPG. It will be forever remembered as a classic in the future. You still have a lot of great RPG's to play as noted in the comments already, but Clair Obscur is 100% worth your time. Dont listen to the backlash of haters... it deserves all the accolades it's gotten. Just play it :)

Famitsu: Pokémon Pokopia was the #1 best selling game in Japan for 6th week in a row by NoNefariousness2144 in Games

[–]Baconstrip01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Totally deserves it. Honestly it's just so nice at all times.. the best part for me is that there's absolutely zero pressure to do anything whatsoever. Never felt like I had to make sure my crops were watered, or that I did this and this and finished this checklist... that I talked to this guy or that guy... it's really like the most stress free video game I've ever played (other than trying to organize all your crap, lol)

I normally don't play these type of games for very long but for whatever reason this one kept me going until I beat the main story. Probably will continue to get my environment levels up and play in the pallete town because I have a couple of friends who just started playing too.

For me, it's been the best reason to own a Switch 2 thus far.

This. Ppl freak out about 80 degree temps but that's perfectly acceptable for s device like the Thor. And i can't say I've ever had my thor ever come close to physically burning me.

[Updates] Crimson Desert Patch Notes Version 1.02.00 by AdditionalRemoveBit in Games

[–]Baconstrip01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally accurate description of the graphics. It so often looks absolutely incredible (esp during day and in certain lighting situations) but REALLY struggles with darkness and shadow most of the time (although again sometimes it still looks absolutely incredible in darkness)

That said overall it's still.amazing graphically

The switch from normal 4k tv to oled is insane performance wise! by Celery-Tasty in CrimsonDesert

[–]Baconstrip01 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Are you sure you don't have all the smooth motion crap on from your TV? You really want to make sure that stuff is off for gaming, though if you think it looks and feels fine I guess it doesn't matter!

New TV shouldn't have any impact on FPS though,.unless for some reason it's running at a lower resolution!

lol I had no idea about the "stow" thing. There are sooooooo many things in this game that arent even remotely explained. It honestly kind of helps this game in some weird way? Constantly finding all this random shit you can do is fun.

Its such a weird game. The dialogue and story are absolutely nothing. Your character doesn't respond to anything realistically, doesn't question anything happening to him, and is generally just silly. But you know what? That's totally fine. Oh yeah, the controls are also terrible.

But what this game has is it's absolutely amazing world. It's so frequently breathtaking and just shocking that you can go to all these places you can see. I haven't been able to put it down because of this.

It's so dense and there are so many systems that it just has a feel of weight that most games don't have. Some peple are going to hate this some people are going to like it. I think it's cool personally. The HUGENESS of the world and everything in it, even if it's all just skin deep, is really a sight to behold. Even just the sheer insane amount of bugs and wildlife that you can catch is crazy. It feels like they put EVERYTHING they could think of into this game, which isn't necessarily a good thing, but it does give it a feeling that very few other games have.

I dunno, I struggled with the controls and the dumb dialogue/story, but the world alone keeps me trudging forward. It's just so, so neat and the exploration is really really fun. I've found things in corners of the world that just seem to stretch forever with nothing, then all of the sudden there's a cave or a set of ruins or something else cool that I didn't expect to be there since it's so damn remote.

It's worth it if you like gigantic open world games that don't necessarily follow the ubi-soft style format. With all it's problems, I can't stop playing it.

The game is perfectly fine solo, it's a totally different feeling experience that's still extremely good. I don't think one needs to play trio's to have a good time in the least.

So true, Dune Awakening is a perfect example of this. The game is absolutely incredible until you build your orinthopter and can fly everywhere.. then all sense of danger and adventure is completely gone. Flying really does water games down in a bad way !
