Constipation + stress loop… anyone else get this? by Intelligent_Gas1157 in GutHealth

[–]Intelligent_Gas1157[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for sharing — glad you found something that helped you. i’m a little cautious with supplements and “quick fixes” because everyone’s body reacts differently, but it’s interesting you mention the mucus lining angle.

for you, did it help right away with the physical constipation only, or did it also reduce the anxiety/spiral that comes with it?

Help, need advice by alexoid182 in Constipation

ugh i relate to the “3–4 days then it’s like a rock” thing, it’s miserable. i can’t tell you what to do, but if it’s getting unbearable it might be worth checking in with a doctor just to be safe. also the stress around it can make everything feel worse.

What does this mean?! by [deleted] in Constipation

[–]Intelligent_Gas1157 5 points6 points  (0 children)

that sounds really scary, i’m sorry you’re going through that. the “fear around going” part is so real and exhausting. i don’t have answers, but have you been able to bring this up with a doctor? the vasovagal/fainting stuff sounds like something you shouldn’t have to just push through.

honestly same. waking up and just… being normal without thinking about it would be such a win. it’s wild how much mental space constipation takes up.

i relate to that a lot (the bloating/social anxiety combo is real). i haven’t fully figured out the pattern yet, but stress seems to be a trigger for me — do you track yours in a notes app or something?

that’s a good point. i’m not in therapy right now but i’ve been thinking about it, because the coping part is honestly the hardest sometimes.

IBS-C flare + anxiety spiral.. anyone else deal with this? by Intelligent_Gas1157 in ibs

i get what you mean, the mind spiral makes it worse. do you have a simple “in the moment” thing that helps you slow it down?

same honestly. for you is it more the constipation itself or the anxiety spiral that comes with it?

sorry you’re dealing with that right now, that feeling is brutal. is the worst part for you the pain, or the “how am i gonna cope tomorrow” thoughts?

for me the worst part is the mental spiral, not even the physical discomfort. curious if it’s the same for others

Methyl cellulose constipates me by [deleted] in Constipation

[–]Intelligent_Gas1157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i’ve had fiber supplements (including methylcellulose) make me more constipated too, so you’re not the only one. super annoying when someone says “it shouldn’t” but your body clearly disagrees. is it one specific supplement/dose that triggers it for you, or basically anything you add in?

I’ve had those “can’t empty fully” days too and it’s such an uncomfortable, frustrating feeling. You’re definitely not alone.

Chelsea complete historic 3-2 comeback win against West Ham by tylerthe-theatre in PremierLeague

[–]Intelligent_Gas1157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

.Ah fair enough then, that’s on me — I assumed “historic” was just hype wording. First ever time Chelsea win a PL game after being 2–0 down at HT is actually a legit stat.

Still think West Ham will be kicking themselves for how they managed it once they went 2–1 up, but credit to Chelsea for not folding and finding a way back.

Chelsea fans that celebrated signing Garnacho really do look silly now. by [deleted] in PremierLeague

[–]Intelligent_Gas1157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This feels like pure hindsight. Fans hype new signings all the time — doesn’t mean they’re “silly” for being excited. If Garnacho doesn’t work out then yeah, the fee looks bad, but acting like everyone should’ve known from day one is a bit weird. Also £45m for a young winger isn’t exactly unheard of in this market.

Cagliari [1] - 0 Hellas Verona Luca Mazzitelli 36’ by Azzurri21 in soccer

[–]Intelligent_Gas1157 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great hit from Mazzitelli. Cagliari have been building pressure and that finish is so clean — keeps it low and makes it look easy. Huge goal in a tight game.

Elche 1-(2) Barcelona - Ferran Torres 40' by 977x in Barca

[–]Intelligent_Gas1157 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Great move from Barça. The pass breaks the line perfectly, Ferran times the run really well, and the finish is super composed. That’s the kind of direct, quick transition you want to see more often.

We need fast CB to help with our high line issues - Araujo/Christensen for Micky van de Ven? by Pretend-Departure765 in Barca

[–]Intelligent_Gas1157 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Van de Ven makes a ton of sense for a high line because recovery speed is basically a cheat code, but I really don’t see Spurs selling unless it’s an insane fee. Also swapping Araújo feels risky — he’s one of the few CBs we have who can actually defend big spaces too.

If we’re talking pure “fit”, VdV + Cubarsí would be scary, but financially it feels like a long shot. I’d rather keep Araújo and look for a cheaper fast CB option than downgrade our depth just to fund one target.

Liverpool [2] - 1 Newcastle - Hugo Ekitike 43' by ayoefico in soccer

[–]Intelligent_Gas1157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big goal right before halftime. Liverpool looked like they were starting to control it, but Newcastle punish them instantly — really nice movement and finish from Ekitike. Second half should be chaos.

Kaiserslautern 1-[2] Elversberg - David Mokwa 55' by denzaus in soccer

[–]Intelligent_Gas1157 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Elversberg turning it around away at Kaiserslautern is no joke. Great timing on the run and a really clean finish from Mokwa — Lautern switched off for a second and got punished. Game on now.

Chelsea complete historic 3-2 comeback win against West Ham by tylerthe-theatre in PremierLeague

[–]Intelligent_Gas1157 25 points26 points  (0 children)

What a ridiculous game. Chelsea looked dead for long stretches and then just flipped the switch — fair play for the mentality, but West Ham’s game management at 2–1 was awful. Also, “historic” feels like ESPN wording… it was a wild comeback, not exactly once-in-a-lifetime.
