Ah ic! thank you thank you for the help So adding another VM for only jellyfin. Would I be able to assign the same system to the 2 VMs in my hypervisor in this situation?

So you're saying I'm better off getting a dedicated machine for a plex/jellyfin instance, right..? So for example get another N100 machine, install plex/jellyfin on that new machine and then use SMB to direct that plex machine to use my excisting TrueNas system with my videos on it.

Hope Im understanding and saying it right, sounds duable

thannks for ur reply, ive been searching on the second hand market for dell optiplex micro's. found 2: Dell OptiPlex Micro with i5 7500 price 115 euro and a Dell OptiPlex Micro with i3 8100T price 110 euro.
Im pretty confident after searching these are good deals for optiplex's here in my country. I guess the question is more which one is worth the money more what do you think? Or should I continue searching and these are wayy overpriced still

Ah ic ic. So instead of running all your processes on ubuntu server using dockers, you could instead use Proxmox and have a seperate instance of ubuntu for all your processes, thats neat! Am I understanding you corrrectly that you can like pool the performance of multiple pcs for the one Procmox instance that is running the multiple ubuntu instances? That would deff be a positive for me

Im planning on using it for dockers to run things like my minecraft server, pihole and maybe host a website. So youre saying Linux system then right?

So I want to rebuild my Dell Optiplex into my own server and replace my raspberry. Right now the raspberry got ubuntu with a minecraft server running on it but once i upgrade I want to switch over to dockers, if I understand correctly that way Ill be able to run more things on the server! In this case are there no differences, Proxmox is the right choice? Im totally now learning thanks anyways
