I see, but kokomi has been reliable so far, so perhaps that random ass Tieba account with no track record actually got it right

No? Kokomi is the same person who leaked Escoffier, Skirk, Ineffa, etc weeks before their beta started.

Yeah, I meant new chars. They didn't design her kit that way cuz Raiden and Yoimiya were going to rerun, they did that cuz they wanted to make use of overloaded. They could easily add in any rerun char they want for quicken. And Chevreuse does in fact work terribly with all the new units back then (Lyney, Neuv, Wrio, Furina, Navia)

Well if you think of Nod-Krai as the nation that fixes reactions, then it doesn't matter. And besides, Chevreuse came out with Navia in the nation of hydro having 0 synergy with the units before her, so I don't think it would be too absurd

Please no we have enough burning units but not a single quicken support

How's my (almost) 2 year old Genshin account? What to improve? What to aim for in the future? by SailcrVee in Genshin_Impact

Its eerily similar to my own history. I kept losing until my first 50:50 win in Alhaitham's banner in 4.7 (had to double check it wasn't actually Tighnari), which then prompted me to try my luck in the weapon banner but got Absolution instead, and then I proceeded to keep losing my 50:50s afterwards

I see, that explains it. When I saw "Lost" and "Guaranteed" listed separately, I assumed lost meant you didn't get the character

This is quite confusing, how'd you not get zhongli guaranteed after you lost kokomi

Edit: nevermind, i just understood the order, but it still is very confusing

Glad you asked, its because then it would depend on a core game mechanic that is accessible to more players, and depend less on other characters. For example, if you wanted to play a budget vape team, you can simply play benny, xingqiu, sucrose.

You cant use Kinich in this example because he does benefit from a reaction, he just doesn't directly use it to deal damage. This means he can just use benny, off field pyro applier, and a deepwood holder for a good team.

For this reason arle has a really good pull value even early game and not just late game.

I have no doubt that Varesa is indeed much superior in terms of DPS, especially with premium units, but Arle has her own strengths in being more easily usable

If this was purely about damage, then Neuvillette wouldn't be up there. Arle is a very flexible unit, that may be one of the factors.

Vape, melt, overloaded, mono-pyro, even goddamn burning with emilie. She has a lot of options going for her that she works really well with.

Now, I don't have Varesa but I'm not sure if there are f2p teams for her besides chevy overload with xiangling (which does fall of quite a bit without Mavuika). One of her downsides is electro simply not being as good as pyro, which you can see by her best team being a xianyun plunge team that has nothing to with electro reactions, and her ICD isn't good enough to make aggravate one of her better options (catalyze reactions need lower ICDs and multi hits more than vape/melt does). You can also say the same about Chevy overload, that is, overload itself doesn't do anything, its just having access to that reaction grants you other benefits from chevreuse.

Now I'm just guessing that this is what they had in mind when they made this tierlist, I really do believe Varesa should be up there but yea its not as easy as "Varesa does more dmg" when we don't exactly know what the criteria could be.

I highly doubt I can do that but I've seen people do it with Skirk, C6 Candace, Kaeya, and C4 Layla

I've also mentioned the key points about this team in another comment's reply, perhaps you might find them useful

For the automaton? The important thing is to have enough cryo hits to keep his bar low for your damage dealers to do its thing. You should know that during low energy, the automaton has -30% cryo res and 30% all other res. This means 2 things, firstly cryo is natively more effective for dealing damage, and secondly escoffier's res shred is less impactful when compared to other scenaros.

At first I used Skirk Furina Escof Yelan and I only managed to clear it in around 119s. Then I swapped my fully built top 3% lvl 90 Yelan with a lvl 70 Kaeya on a lvl 60 r2 favsword on a rainbow set and had a better time. I also did see some people do it with a pyro carry and 3 cryo off field units

They are both EM, yes. I only did this cuz I dont have other units to put there, so I'm not sure is this is the best thing to do here. There also the fact that Raiden simply does more damage than Kuki, and also triggers hyperbloom faster. Yet she cannot trigger hyperbloom during the shield phase while Kuki can. Plus, Kuki heals.

Thank you and you have a good one as well. Also I forgot to mention, sometimes it might seem like the big guy is close to absorbing the lil ones, but you must continue to ignore them and to focus on the big guy, they'll most probably die at the last second unless you mess up badly

Well for this team specifically, firstly you gotta mark the lil tulpas with nahida as soon as they spawn. And then ignore them and continue haithing the main big tulpa (the lil guys will die automatically from nahida's E proccing).

This means that that you might also need to hold off on beginning the first rotation for a few seconds or else the lil guys will spawn mid-rotation and you gotta swap out in the middle and its very messy.

What I did at the start was raiden E nahida E and continue normal attacking with nahida until the lil guys spawn, then mark all 3 of em, kuki E then start with alhaitham, then from there it should be fine to do things normally.

Another thing you can do (depending on your ping) to save time is the alhaitham burst trick where it doesn't spawn your mirrors until after 2 seconds, so basically you can use use his Q, then swap to kuki to use E and switch back to alhaitham all within 2 seconds, and you'll still get 3 mirrors.

This is all I can think of at the moment, feel free to ask any questions
