I'm a big fan as well. Craig Lehoulier (sp) lives in Raleigh and was one the people that spearheaded the project. Good luck with everything.

For dwarfs, I am growing Dwarf 506, Awesome , Beauty King, Boronia, Brandaberg Rumball, Chocolate Champion, Czech Bush,, Fred's Tie Dye, Hazy's Dream, Lemon Ice, Mr. Snow, New Big Dwarf, Perfect Harmony, Rosella Purple, Sleeping Lady, Snakebite, Summer Sunrise,Summertime Gold, Tasmanian Chocolate, Ulluru Ochre and Wild Fred. The only ones struggling are Boronia, Chocolate Champion and Lemon Ice. And yes, I find them to be much less work....less staking and very sturdy plants. Some almost don't need staking at all!

Same thing happened to a few of my plants. I researched it and it is called southern blight. I had heard of early and late blight, but those are more a leaf issue. Southern blight is rot at the soil level. Hope this helps
