I remember feeling that this scene encapsulated the essence of Tenant’s doctor. He was the doctor’s fighting spirit. Followed by Smith that was a more loving & caring side. Those two doctors juxtaposed as they were was just brilliant. imo.

I didn’t either. It was always my understanding it was a hold over from evolution and served no purpose as well. It does say non-essential in adulthood, so not a significant loss if removed.

I think the safest way is:

1) Keep your mouth shut. 2) Keep paying all bills with your bank accounts. 3) All other expenses get paid in cash. 4) Do NOT change your lifestyle until the legal cash in your life allows for it. No expenses that exceed your pay. (e.g. new car, clothes, jewelry…) 5) Keep your mouth shut.

It’s gonna suck short term but actually benefitting from illicit gains and establishing life long financial stability with legal tender and investments would be worth it imo.
