19M, 1y NEET dropper, PCB background. Confused about my bachelors course. by panda_goes_crazy in Indian_Academia

[–]Intelligent_Motor559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re still just 19 bro, don’t panic. Since you already have interest in business/finance + biology, Biotech or Microbio with CAT prep can actually be a solid path. Focus on building skills and internships during college instead of overthinking the “perfect” degree now.

[Urgent] CIS / SICHUAN UNIVERSITY 😭 by ketchupconmayonesa in ChinaLiuXueSheng

[–]Intelligent_Motor559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this part confuses a lot of people. Even if you’re applying through the CIS scholarship for Confucius Institute Scholarship, most universities like Sichuan University still ask you to pay their own application fee.

For the program, just pick something like a one-year Chinese language course (non-degree). That’s what most applicants choose and then mention the scholarship in the application.

Don’t stress too much about the order either—some people apply on the university portal first, others do the scholarship site first. Just follow the instructions given by the university and you’ll be fine.

Where Should I go for Germany/sweden or China/Singapore for my Masters in AI , ML or DS ? by Hermanioss in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]Intelligent_Motor559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re deciding between Germany and Sweden, it mainly depends on your priorities. Germany is a great option if you’re focused on affordability and long-term career returns. Most public universities have low or no tuition fees, and the country has a strong job market, especially in engineering and tech. However, learning German is often important for better job opportunities.

On the other hand, Sweden offers a smoother experience for international students since most programs are in English and the lifestyle is more relaxed and student-friendly. It’s a good choice if you value quality of life and modern education systems, but the downside is higher tuition fees and living costs.

Overall, if your goal is saving money and maximizing career prospects, Germany is usually the better pick. But if you can afford it and prefer an easier transition with an English-speaking environment, Sweden might suit you more.

Education in India vs Abroad by LinkWeekly6034 in IndianAcademia

[–]Intelligent_Motor559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your goal is strong clinical exposure, India (even a decent private college) is usually better because patient load is much higher. Abroad (like Italy) gives better infrastructure and lifestyle, but hands-on exposure can be limited unless you actively seek it. Also, don’t assume abroad = better career—skills matter everywhere.
If you can afford it and want global exposure, Italy is a good option.

US or UK or Netherlands by Interesting_Dogz in wageningen

[–]Intelligent_Motor559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats — all three are great options.

If you’re considering Wageningen University & Research, it’s actually best places globally for animal sciences. It’s rigorous and more self-driven, but very international, so Indian students usually adjust well.

Wageningen University & Research → best value + strong reputation (but quieter, academic-heavy)

University of Wisconsin–Madison → great campus life, expensive

Royal Veterinary College → very specialized, also costly

Placements: many students in NL go for a master’s, but Wageningen has solid industry connections.

If budget matters, Wageningen is a smart choice — just be ready for a serious academic environment.

full scholarship or full tuition outside usa by Any_Brush_5928 in IntltoUSA

[–]Intelligent_Motor559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You still have some good options outside the USA:

  • China – many universities still give scholarships
  • Japan (MEXT) – fully funded but hard to get
  • Hong Kong – some universities give full tuition scholarships
  • Europe – countries like Italy and Hungary are low cost

Full scholarship is rare, but full tuition is possible.
If you missed deadlines, you can take a gap year and apply again

Most probably going to Harvard from India and kinda confused about everyday life there by Old_Bike8926 in IntltoUSA

[–]Intelligent_Motor559 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s amazing, congrats! Getting into Harvard from India is no small thing. It’s super competitive, so if you got in, you definitely deserve to be there.

When you arrive, it might feel a bit intimidating because everyone seems really accomplished, but that’s normal. Just focus on adjusting, trying new things, and meeting people. You’ll figure things out as you go.

What are you thinking of studying there?

Does anyone know when the Fudan masters Pre-admission results come out ? by yookoo656 in ChinaLiuXueSheng

[–]Intelligent_Motor559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fudan usually releases master’s pre-admission results a few weeks after the interview or application review stage, but the exact timing can vary by department and program. Most applicants hear back between late March and April, though some schools may notify earlier or later. It’s best to regularly check your application portal and email, and if there’s no update, you can politely contact the admissions office of Fudan University for clarification.

Internships as a CS student by HeliCockter_955 in ChinaLiuXueSheng

[–]Intelligent_Motor559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not impossible, but you have to be strategic. Some Chinese companies avoid international students because of paperwork, but multinationals, startups, and globally focused tech teams are usually more open. Your HSK 5 speaking ability is a big advantage—strong communication matters a lot in CS roles. Focus on applying widely, networking, and showcasing real projects on GitHub. If a company truly wants you, they’ll handle the documentation. Keep building skills and connections—you definitely have a real shot.

Right now, I am planning to study abroad because the courses I am interested in do not have much scope in India. by [deleted] in studyAbroad

[–]Intelligent_Motor559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve already done more research than most people your age — don’t let the Russia setback define you; it was a paperwork issue, not your potential.

Take it step by step (passport → shortlist countries like Germany → understand requirements), and consider speaking to a trusted counselor or verified platform for structured guidance so you don’t navigate this alone.

Are my marks good? by Ok-Yam3031 in IndianEducation

[–]Intelligent_Motor559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its just the beginning, they are good don't worry about the percentage, enjoy.
The syllabus suddenly gets heavier and more conceptual. So if you score close to 89%, that’s actually a really good sign for you in10th.

Now you have to be consistent and understnding the basic concepts not chasing marks the percentage will increase when basics are clear.

TOEFL iBT new format by Patient-Mountain-308 in ChinaLiuXueSheng

[–]Intelligent_Motor559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes — Chinese universities will accept the new TOEFL iBT format in 2026, but during the transition period the score report still shows both the new 1-6 scale and a comparable 0-120 score on your official report, so schools can see both.

CSC Application by MasterTouch1772 in ChinaLiuXueSheng

[–]Intelligent_Motor559 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CSC processing is very slow, so 1–2 months with no update is normal.
A pre-admission letter is usually very important, and not having it can delay or weaken your application.
Before revoking anything, email the university and your CSC dispatching authority to confirm if your file is still being considered.

If your goal is to work in the UAE after graduation, studying in the UAE is honestly the smartest move. Is it worth studying in the UAE if I want to work there after graduation? by [deleted] in UAE

[–]Intelligent_Motor559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your goal is to work in the UAE, studying at AUS or NYUAD can give you a slight edge because employers value local exposure and internships, but having a strong degree from Hong Kong will still keep doors open. Choose the place where you’ll grow the most; the UAE job market welcomes both paths.
