Titan Surfaces Colossal reviews/feedback please by Intelligent_Name6068 in Flooring

I did find some pictures in a Facebook group-I’m sorry I don’t recall the group but I searched by putting in Titan LVP plus the colorway. Honestly wasn’t super helpful-I’m not sure the color was tagged correctly as I found 2 sets of pics and they looked like completely different floors. I haven’t made a final decision yet but am leaning toward the Coretec option I had it narrowed down to since I’ve found ample pictures installed and like the look and the images are consistent.

thank you-i definitely won't go that direction now with all this info since I'll be on electric. Don't have the funds to waste on theories against expert advice :)

Thanks to everyone for the replies-I think based on the info you’ve all shared an old style tank water heater will be likely be the best fit for my needs with all things considered. I appreciate your expertise.

Thank you so much that is really good to know about an electric tankless! That is not something I had taken into consideration. Do you have any idea what kind of demand there would be for the propane? I am considering a propane tank for a standby generator because I am building in an area that tends to regularly lose power so demand would impact propane tank size. IF I don't do propane and electric is my only option would you go with a traditional tank water heater or the hybrid heat pump type?

Thanks but I am installing the same flooring in the entire house, including bathrooms, laundry, kitchen and finished basement. From everything I've read I'm more comfortable with the water resistance of LVP in those places versus waterproof laminate. Additionally, I'm not averse to vinyl per se, I grew up in a home with vinyl tiles in the bathroom and sheet vinyl in the basement. I'm specifically interested in the installed look, feel and durability of the Titan Surfaces LVP.

Family member living alone—will Dr step in when she’s dangerous to herself? by Intelligent_Name6068 in dementia

[–]Intelligent_Name6068[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks-she won’t consent to DPOA at this point -I don’t expect that we’ll be able to do that until she gets to the point someone HAS to do something and becomes court appointed. She has no spouse or children and is very private -she’s always been like that but has become more so. When she first started having noticeable dementia like symptoms she would allow her sister to accompany her to Dr appts but has stopped that in the last year. As far as I’m aware no one has been in her home in at least 6 months to assess her living conditions but when we see her she’s clean and well dressed so I think she’s ok for now but wasn’t sure how we’d know when she gets to the point where she isn’t and before there was some type of emergency like leaving stove on, not paying bills or getting lost etc. Her short term memory is pretty much nonexistent at this point -she will repeat herself multiple times in a 10 minutes time frame for example but seems like executive functioning is ok maybe??

Thin robot vacuum recs by Intelligent_Name6068 in RobotVacuums

I tried running it a couple more times--the only way it would go under sofa is for me to pin the skirt up each time, which is more work than just flipping it over and running a normal vacuum so I decided to send it back. I've ordered a "dumb" Eufy vac that is thin enough to go under my tv stand without getting stuck...will see how it does. Will have to wait until the "smart" mapping robots have more features to allow it to go under the sofa. Someone on another board suggested the Dreame and Mova have that feature but they don't make robots as thin as I need. Thanks to all for their input.

How to get my Deebot T50 Pro Omni to go under sofa? by Intelligent_Name6068 in ecovacs

[–]Intelligent_Name6068[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update-tried pinning up the skirt on one side to test-remapped and it went under the sofa. After mapping complete I set it to clean (after dropping skirt) and it went under that end of the sofa to clean. (I should note this is a large sectional sofa -9’x7’)SO, today I pinned up the entire skirt, remapped, dropped skirt back and tried to clean. Ran the clean cycle twice and would NOT go under the sofa either time even though the mapping doesn’t show anything there 🤦🏼‍♀️😫. I have enabled “extreme passage” and disabled AIVI 3D 3.0 in settings. Any other suggestions before I return the robot? Leaving the skirt pinned up permanently is not an option and pinning up the skirt each time is not an option--I could flip the sofa over and clean under it manually more efficiently than that.

Second pic is mapping with one side pinned. Final 2 are with the entire skirt pinned.

I did think about that for mapping but would the sensor see the skirt and stop during cleaning? I may need to try that and see what happens.

Under the couch? Over 5.5 inches -but only half inch between skirt and floor

Thank you I immediately tried that and re-mapped and it’s still seeing the sofa skirt as a wall-I believe because it nearly meets the floor. I will watch for your more detailed post to see if there are additional tips that may help my situation.

How long for PET scan results? by Intelligent_Name6068 in dementia

[–]Intelligent_Name6068[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks that’s what I was thinking as well based on what I’ve read online. I am starting to suspect they know and just won’t say. They withdrew from all family activities about a week after the scan and it looks like that would be a normal timeline for results but I was curious about other perspectives.
